"I need a minute," Sasha said once we were finished.

"Everything okay?" I asked.

"Yeah. I just need to clear my head to figure some things out," she said.

"Don't go too far. Please," Maggie said.

She nodded then headed out.

"Amelia. I have to tell you something," Enid said.

"What's up?" I asked.

"They came," she said.

"What? They said a week," Maggie said.

"I don't know. They just decided to show up," Enid said.

"How's Rick?" I asked.

"He's giving them what they want," she replied.

"Can't say I blame him. He doesn't want to lose anyone else. So he's doing what they want to keep everyone there safe," I said.

Maggie nodded.

"Negan thinks the two of you are dead," Enid continued.

"That's good. Let him think that," I said.

"There's something else," she said.

"What is it, Enid?" Maggie asked.

"They brought Daryl," she said a little softer.

I sat back in my chair and exhaled a shaky breath.

"Is...Is he okay?" I asked.

"Yeah. Well, he looked okay," she said.

"Did they let him stay?" I asked.

"No. He's like Negan's slave or something. Rick asked if he could stay. But Daryl didn't say much," she said.

I chuckled softly.

"He's a fighter. He ain't kneeling to that son of a bitch for shit. He's gonna make it back to us. One way or another. Thanks for telling me, Enid," I said.

She nodded.

"That's good. We'll need him," Maggie said.

I looked at her.

"You told Rick to get ready for a fight. We need to get ready too," I said.

"Yeah. I need to find out more about this place," Maggie said.

"Already thinking like a leader are you?" I retorted.

Enid smiled and looked at Maggie.

"Sounds like her," she said.

"Yeah. Deanna was right about you," I said.

Maggie smiled at the both of us.

"I'm just trying to do my part," she said.

"Well, honestly, I'd rather have you making the decisions than Gregory," I said.

"It may not even come to that," she said.

"Maybe," I said.

Maggie looked over at me and smiled again.

"Here, let me clear the table," Enid said getting up.

"I'll help too," I said.

Enid grabbed the basket the bread came in along with the pot. I picked up the bowls and spoons.

"There's a place to put them out there," I said.

"Let me get the door," Maggie said heading over to the door.
