I waited by the wooden doors to make sure I didn't hear any of them. When I didn't, I slowly opened one of them and got out. I carefully closed the door back up. I peered over the side of the house. Everyone was gathered near the gate. The Saviors were all packing up the last of the things they wanted. I searched for Enid. When I finally found her, I was relieved to know that she was okay. She was next to Jesus watching the Saviors that were getting ready to leave. I then saw Dr. Carson step into one of the trucks the Saviors had brought.

"No," I whispered.

I hit my fist against the house.

"Dammit," I said.

The engines started and I watched as the Saviors took off. They now had Dr. Carson. What for? I wasn't sure but I was going to find out somehow. As soon as they were gone, I headed to Enid.

"Are you okay?" I asked when I reached her.

"Yeah. They took my knife but I'm okay. Are Maggie and Daryl okay?" she said.

"Those assholes. And yeah, they're good. Why did they take Dr. Carson?" I said.

"We don't know. I'm gonna have a talk with Gregory," Jesus said.

He went over to Gregory who was among the crowd.

"Where's Sasha?" I asked.

"I don't know. Maybe she's in the trailer," Enid said.

"Go ahead and let Maggie and Daryl know that it's all clear to come out. I'm gonna go and check the trailer," I said.

She nodded and headed to the side of the house. I went toward the trailer. When I got there, it was empty. I went over to the couch. There was a backpack here before I left earlier.

"No..." I whispered.

She had taken off.

"Shit," I said.

"SHIT!" I shouted banging my fist on the table.

The door opened and Daryl, Maggie, and Enid came in.

"What's wrong?" Daryl asked coming closer to me.

I looked at him and Maggie. I sighed.

"There's something you guys need to know," I said.

I looked over at Enid. She nodded.

"Maggie...you should sit down for this," I said.

Maggie looked between Enid and me. She sat down and Daryl crossed his arms. Enid then told them everything. The plan Sasha had of taking out Negan, the fact that Rosita was here to help her with that plan, and how they were both gone. Maggie exhaled shaky breaths.

"You all should have told me," she said softly.

"I know. I know we should have. But she asked us not to tell you. She convinced us that by not telling you she was protecting you. But now I realize how wrong it was," I said.

Daryl reached for my hand and I took it.

"So we do this now," Daryl said.

I looked at him.

"Heading to Alexandria?" I asked.

"Hell yeah," he said.

"So we'll go. Together," I said.

"Take Enid and Jesus," Maggie said standing up.

"No," Enid said.

"They're gonna need more hands. Tell Rick what's happened. Besides, there's more work that needs to be done here. I'll be safe," Maggie said.

I went up and hugged her.

"I'll see you again soon," I said.

"Be careful. All of you," Maggie said.

We all nodded. Daryl and I left the trailer. We went to Barrington house and started to pack.

"I tried to stop her but there was no changing her mind. I wanted to go with her. But the thought of leaving you...I just...I couldn't do that...not again," I said softly.

He came up and wrapped his arms around me.

"You didn't leave me. None of this is on you. We get to Alexandria and tell Rick everything," he said.

I nodded still in his arms.

"So. You and Maggie were able to be in the same room without you fleeing. You guys finally got to talking huh?" I said wanting to take my mind off of everything that was going on.

"Well, we were kind of forced to, weren't we?" he retorted.

We parted and I kept on packing.

"I swear I wanted to make sure Enid was okay. What did she tell you?" I asked.

"The same thing you did," he said.

"I told you that she wouldn't blame you. She loves you, Daryl," I said going up to him and hugging him again.

"I apologized to her," he whispered.

I leaned back and looked at him.

"And she told you it wasn't your fault, right?" I said.

"Yeah but..." he started.

I placed my finger over his lips.

"She doesn't blame you. No one does. It was not your fault," I said sternly.

He pulled me in and held me tightly.

"They took Dr. Carson," I said after we parted.

"What the hell? They have a doctor at Negan's place. Why the hell does he need two doctors for?" he asked.

He then paused and started to think.

"Negan must have killed the other doctor. When Carl was there, he burned some guy's face. Wouldn't be a surprise if that's the reason behind it," he said.

"That son of a bitch. I hate that he took Dr. Carson away. He's a good guy. He doesn't belong with them," I said.

"As soon as we get this thing done, we'll get him back," he said.

I nodded.

"Let's get going," he said.

"Yeah. You have everything?" I asked.

"Yup. You?" he said.

I nodded.

"Come on," he said.

We grabbed our bags and made our way back downstairs. Jesus had made his way out of Gregory's office

"Everything okay?" he asked looking at our bags.

"Sasha and Rosita took off," I said.

"What?" he asked.

"They're gone. So we're gonna go back to Alexandria and tell Rick. Maggie asked you to come with," Daryl said.

"Okay. Let's get going," he said.

"Enid's coming along too," I said.

"I'll get a car," Jesus said.

"Jesus, did Gregory tell you why they took Dr. Carson?" I asked.

"Negan...killed his doctor. You know that they were related? They're brothers," he said.

"Damn. We need to get him back," I said.

"We'll figure that out. But right now, we gotta go," Daryl said.

I nodded. Jesus went to get a car while Daryl went to the back of one of the trailers farthest from the gate. He had hid his motorcycle there. We got everything together and were ready to leave within a few minutes. I climbed behind Daryl on his bike. He started the engine started and we took off. I held on tightly to him while I watched the trees fly by us. Enid and Jesus were close behind. We were going home for the first time since all this started. I just hoped that those assholes weren't there when we arrived.
