Daryl shot down one of the scavengers and grabbed his rifle. I covered him. We had made our way to the east wall and were still breathing.

"You good?" he asked rushed.

"Yeah," I said.

"Come on," he said.

There were more coming at us. We took them out. We still hadn't gotten to closing up that gap by the east wall. We went out to get more cover.

"Amelia! Daryl!" Maggie shouted.

The both of us turned around and saw her along with Jesus, Enid and others from the Hilltop making their way over to us.

"Oh it's great to see you guys," I said when we got closer.

"How far inside are they?" she asked.

"They're all inside. The front should be clear," Daryl said.

"Then that's our play. Come on," she said.

We followed her to the front gate. There were still some lingering Saviors but we quickly took them out.

"Come on!" I shouted.

We made our way down the street and fired at every Savior we came across. Rick and Carl were knelt down on the ground as we got closer to a clearing. He seemed okay but I couldn't be too sure. The familiar roar of a tiger was suddenly heard throughout the clearing. Shiva knocked down a Savior that was behind Rick and Carl. Maggie quickly took out the Savior that was beside them.

"Phalanx out. Third group, now!" Maggie ordered.

"Move up! We got your backs!" Daryl shouted.

I instantly caught sight of Ezekiel and I smiled. We had The Kingdom. I fired at more people that still lingered. We had managed to take out everyone in that opening. We then split up. There was a guy making his way to Morgan.

"MORGAN!" I shouted.

He looked at me and I took out the man next to him. We nodded at each other reassuringly. I knew that something had happened to have him and the Kingdom alongside us. I didn't have time to think about what that was though. Negan was making a getaway. We couldn't let him go. We fired at him. There was suddenly smoke bombs that went off.

"Shit. They're making it harder for us to see. They're falling back," I said.

"This way," Daryl said.

I followed him. The gunfire had started to die down.

"We gotta check between the houses," Jesus said coming up to us.

We followed him, Enid and Morgan. Once we had finished, we check the side of one of the cars. We saw some movement, held up our weapons but quickly put them down when Maggie and some others appeared out of the smoke. We looked around to see where the piece of shit had scurried off to. The sound of an engine coming on caused us all to head toward the front of the gate. Some quickly fired at the truck and some of the Scavengers were escaping. The front gate was closed. As we got closer, shots were fired at our feet.

"Move," Daryl said.

I followed him to the left. Daryl and I fired at some that were climbing over the walls. We headed back to the gate after the shots had stopped.

"Now!" Daryl shouted.

A group of us made their way to the gate. They tried to get it opened but it wouldn't budge. I slung my rifle over my shoulder and started climbing the truck nearby.

"Amelia, wait," I heard Daryl say.

But I kept going. Once I was on top, I saw that they were all gone. Daryl came up next to me.
