"There was an accident. Three people were shot at the fountain. Dia was one of them.." Ace's eyes widened.

Ace's eyes widened. Dia was shot..?! He immediately asked where she was and Ry told him that her and the other two victims were at the hospital. He nodded and went there as Ry went with him. When they arrived, they heard some of the doctors and nurses talking.
"Wait here Ace." Ry told him as he went up to them. They told them what Dia's condition was as Ace sat down. After a while, Ry came back. "She's in the back room. It's bad.."
"Let me help. Please." Ace begged. "I-I can't lose another person.." Ry nodded as he convinced the head doctor of Ace's medical career and records and he allowed him to go in and help. Grabbing a jacket, he went into the emergency room where Dia and the other two victims were. He wasn't losing another patient. Or the one he loved..

Blue eyes opened and looked around as Dia had woken up. Where was she..? The last thing she remembered was the shooting at the fountain.. She heard talking and turned to her head to the door to see a doctor, a nurse, and Ace talking. Ace..? When did he get here and why was he in a coat..? She tried to sit up, but winced a bit as she was in a little bit of pain. The door opened and she looked to see Ace. He looked back at her.
     "Dia..."
"A-Ac-" She coughed a bit and he gently helped her sit up before giving her some water.
"Thank goodness you're alright.. I was so scared and worried.."
"I-I'm sorry... It was so sudden.. A-are the other two...?"
"They're still asleep in different rooms. They're alive as well. Me and the doctors saved them and you." Her eyes widened and she looked at him.
     "Y-you saved me..?"
"Yes.. I-I couldn't lose you... I didn't want to see another patient die.. Especially the one I love..."
"Another..?" She asked confused before Ace sighed softly and took a seat next to her bed, taking her hand.
"Dia... You know I'm a doctor back at my home town.. Well I wasn't always as you see me.. Two years ago, I lost a patient.. I also lost one back in my training, when I was 15. That one, my mentor was on vacation and there was an emergency call. I was put in charge and we did everything to save him, but we couldn't.. Then two years another incident occurred.. I should've been able to save her, but I failed.. That's why my brother insisted I come here. To relieve the stress I've been having. But I begged the doctors to let me help. I couldn't lose you.. I couldn't.." Dia was silent as she listened. So Ace was afraid of afraid of losing her after those incidents.. Using the strength she had, she hugged him, burying her face in his shoulder a he carefully hugged her back.
"Thank you... Thank you Ace... For opening up to me and saving me and the other two... No one is perfect.. No matter how hard we try.. And failing is a part in life, but I know now how badly you were affected by this and I apologize for that.."
"You have nothing to apologize for, Dia.. I'm just relieved and happy that you're okay.." He whispered as he buried his face in her hair. She was alive and that was important to him..
