Day 9

Ace woke up the next morning as the wind was blowing really hard. He looked out to see rain clouds gathered in the sky.
'Looks like some bad weather today..' He thought as he got up and dressed before a knock on his door was heard. "Come in!" Dia came inside.
"Hello Ace. Just thought I'd let you know that we're on hurricane watch today. I know the clouds are light, but the weather can change instantly here."
"Ah, I see. Thank you Dia. I'll keep that in mind."
"Actually... I wanted to ask you to help me put the shutters and barriers up. The boss is taking his day off and no one else is here."
"Oh sure. I'll help." He smiled and went with her as she smiled.

As the two of them were putting up the shutters and barriers, storm clouds gathered in the sky and a flash of lightning was seen in the distance. Looks like she was right..
"Thats it!" Dia said as they finished and went inside as it started raining. Ace chuckled as the two of them were soaked.
"Looks like we both need to change."
"Yeah." She giggled. "But my dress will dry out, so I'm not worried." He laughed softly and nodded before hearing the storm get close.
"Is there a basement around here?"
"There's a small room around here that's down below. I'll show you." She took his hand and led him across the hallway to a ladder that went down. Just as she was about to go in, a shelf fell over from the vibrations and Ace immediately pulled her back, causing them both to fall on the ground, with her on top. They both blushed as she looked at him. "T-thank you..."
"Are you alright?" He asked softly as she nodded. He nodded softly before gently moving a strand of hair behind her ear, his fingers lightly brushing her cheek. She shivered and looked at him. "Dia..." He whispered as he placed his hand behind her head and gently pulled her down, until his lips touched hers.
