Day 6

      Ace was walking around the small town when he noticed a shop. He went inside, deciding to check it out. The shop owner smiled when he saw him.
     "Hey Ace! Remember me? Ry."
     "Hey Ry! It's been a while!" He smiled. "Taking a break from traveling?"
     "Yep! Thought I'd come by my home town for a while. What brings you to Waves?"
     "Siblings convinced me of a vacation. Been kinda stressed lately."
     "Ah, I see. Wanna grab a drink and talk about it?"
     "Sure." He nodded and went with his old friend.

      At a small bar, the two of them talked as Ry bought both of them a beer, knowing how Ace likes it on occasion. He listened as his old friend told him what happened when he started his training, to become a doctor, and about the accident.
     "Oh my gosh.. Ace, I'm so sorry.. So that's why you've been stressed.."
     "Yes.." Ace nodded as he sighed and set his beer down. It felt good to rely on someone else, other than his siblings.
     "Hey. It's normal for doctors to lose a patient once in a great while. No matter how good they are."
     "But I should've been able to save him!" Ry gently placed a hand on his shoulder.
     "Don't beat yourself up, Ace. It'll only cost you your career. And I know you always do your best. You're smart, responsible, and talented. Don't let one accident ruin things for you."
     "You're right, Ry. Thank you. Sorry about that."
     "It's alright." He smiled. "Going to a new subject. Find anyone yet? You're attractive enough."
     "Not really. Not interested."
     "What about that girl? Dia." He smirked as he saw his friend's cheeks turn a bit pink. "Aha!"
     "What? No!" Ace blushed a bit.
     "You sure? You're blushing~"
     "There's no way anyway. I'm only here for another 24 days."
     "Well, anything can happen in those 24 days, old friend." Ry chuckled before getting up. "Well, is better get back to my shop. Don't forget to take something back to your siblings. I'm open anytime."
     "Alright. Thanks Ry." Ace smiled as Ry smiled back before leaving the bar. He then took a sip of his beer as he started thinking. Maybe he would take a chance.
