I forcefully rolled myself out of bed. Welcome to the hardest part of the morning, especially if you're a social freak with no point in living anyway
No, there is a point. Well not now but I'll make one
I'm tired of living my life in a sense of anxiety and awkwardness. It's time I changed it up. I was going to stop being the nerd. Life was going to be different... it's going to be better
I raced down the stairs, my wet hair trailing behind me. In my hands I held the key to my new life, my bank card. For years I have been saving up money to buy some dorky action figure set but not anymore. I mean for goodness sake I was a teenager I had to be spontaneous and surprising. I ran to my mum. She definitely would support me because I think she has been secretly waiting for this day. "Hey mom." I said twirling my hair nervously. I immediately stopped, gosh what a girly thing to do plus those things NEVER worked on my parents
My mom looked up from her phone, she looked at me, looked at the card in my hand, then looked at me again with a raised brow, then she did something she has never ever done before she put her phone down and mumbled," This should be good."
I explained my entire plan, well not "entire". I left out the part of me having a crush and all those details.
My parents were pretty defense about that type of stuff. When I was finish my con on how I'm a teenager and bull I took in a deep breath...wow, talking took a lot of energy. After I had caught my breath I looked at my mom and she was... smiling. "Of course honey, I have been waiting for this day your whole life." Ha I knew it! She did secretly want this. When I finally spot her again she is already grabbing her car keys and gesturing me towards the door. I was taken back.
"What, now?"
"Of course now, no time like the present. Come on let's go."
Before I could say anything she was already out the door. Well I guess here it goes. Time for a new me.
