A few days later
"Lizzy!!" I heard my name through my headsets. As I looked up from my book I saw Penny rush towards me nearly falling over the chair. "Shhhhh!" I said as the librarian glared at us. "Sorry, sorry." She said apologetically. "Lizzy guess what?" Ignoring her I rolled my eyes and greeted Steven." Sup Steven. "
Steven is Penny's boyfriend. They are like the perfect match. I look up to them like older siblings since the only one I have is teaching overseas. If anyone asks I totally ship them(yes a fan girl term)
"Hi Lizzy." Steven said with a smile and sat down across the table as Penny sat down next to me. "Guess what, guess what, guess what? "She chanted as she shook me that my earphone fell out of my ears.
"What?"
"They. Broke. Up."
She said slowly as if I was a small child hard of understanding. "Who? Who broke up? Penny use your words."
"Oh shut up Lizzy. Tyler. Tyler and Wendy broke up."
My heart did a little summersault . Then a stab of guilt hit me.
I shouldn't be happy they just broke up. I should feel bad, but just hearing his name made me giddy.
"Now is your shot. Go make your move girl." She said pushing me almost off my chair.
Weirdly enough she some how managed to squeeze all my secrets out of me including my crush and Riley. I felt much better after telling her. Plus she said , and I quote, " I ever see that b*#h I promise you I will beat the s#*t out of her." And Steven agreed. Like I said older siblings.
"I can't do that, are you crazy, they just broke up. I mean imagine how broken they are inside." I said with an exasperated look.
"I don't know. Last I heard Tyler started smoking and Wendy was threatening to commit suicide." She said casualty with a shrug of her shoulders.
" What?! She can't do that, no. I have to go speak to her, make sure she is okay." I said as I jumped up and grabbed my bag. As we headed towards the door someone came crashing in screaming
"Help help , she is gonna jump!"
