The conversation only went on for about 30 minutes but it fell like it was hours. I can hardly tell you wat it was about.
Like I was on automatic mode not manual, no longer in control. We spoke but all I could do is take in his voice.
The way he pronounced his words, the way he lightly chuckled when he thought he said something funny. His voice was dreamy, playful and interested. It was like he actually wanted to listen to me
I found myself giving into his obsessive nagging for me to go to a before-back-to-school party.
What was I thinking? Oh wait I wasn't. I never did when I spoke to him. Gosh I hated myself for that

"A party hey?" My mum said looking at me and my dad.I decided , after a long thought session involving a long shower and a hot cup of coffee, that I did want to go. It was a step in the way I wanted to go. Revealing my new look and putting myself out there. "Please." I had plead in my eyes. "Sure. I don't have a problem with it. Do you?" She said picking up an eyebrow. My dad sat glaring at me with his arms folded on his chest. The tense silence was excruciating.
"Sure,"
I jumped up in excitement and hugged them furiously. "But,you have to be home by 9:00."
My mum lifted both of her eyebrows now. She looked at my dad like he had said something sinful. "11:00."
I was ready for this ... I think... I hope.
