Homura watched in shock as she saw the birth of a Witch from Rei's Soul Gem. She knew it was going to happen. She has been through so many timelines and already suspected this outcome. The environment around her wavered and Homura fled as she watched it turn into a Witch's labyrinth. Homura glanced down at her partially impure Soul Gem. Could she do it? Could she slay Rei's Witch?
She gritted her teeth. She was so close! She had defeated Walpurgisnacht without involving Madoka, and now this is how she was going to go out? Taking in too much despair from killing two Witches? Couldn't she just leave the Witch and let another girl make a contract with Kyubey and slay the Witch for themselves? Homura got her wish granted-she got what she wanted!
Even though Homura knew she could simply walk away from here, she knew deep down that this was wrong. Rei did come out with her end of the bargain, so at least Homura owes her to put her out of her misery.
Suddenly, Homura felt gentle arms wrap around her. "That's enough," the voice spoke said.
Homura turned to see Madoka standing next to Kyubey. She gasped, seeing the demon next to her. "Madoka...you didn't...!" She cried.
"Homura...I'm sorry," Madoka apologized. "I'm going to become a Magical Girl."
"Madoka..." Homura shook her head. "No..."
"I finally figured it out," she smiled. "I found a wish I truly want granted. So, I'm going to use my life for it, okay?"
"Don't!" Homura cried, turning back at the labyrinth. She watched as the Rei's Witch, a Doll Witch named Chole, entered her labyrinth. The labyrinth is suppose to mimic a doll's house. There are many pastel-colored doors surrounding the entrance along with a couple pastel-colored windows above, tricking onlookers to go inside, thinking it's a innocent doll house.
The Witch is the exact replica of her Magical Girl counterpart, Rei. Only, her green eyes are cloudy and her skin was white as paper, almost appearing to be made of porcelain, which was extremely fragile, as it can crack easily. She has a pattern of black webs below both eyes, thought to symbolize tears and a stitched mouth. The Witch dressed plainly for a doll, as she selects a black nightgown with a ruffled black shoulder cape, a white ruffled bodice with a black ribbon, grey stockings and black clumps. She carried a doll, which was also her minion, around with her at all times that looks like the one she dearly loved, Kyoko Sakura.

"Because, then..." Homura's walls began to break down, tears rolling down her face. "Because then, what have I...have being fighting for...?"
Madoka went over and hugged Homura once more. "I'm sorry," she sighed. "I'm so sorry. But I believe it's because you've protected me for so, so long, that I am the person I am now. I really am sorry. Won't you believe in the answer...that the one you've protected for all this time found? I swear I won't waste everything that you've done for me, Homura."
