Tears steadily rolled down Stacey cheeks as she stared out into the night. No sleep would come to her as she was not able to rest. Physically her body would shut down, but not her mind. Fear along with regret distorted her features. Fear that she would never see Caleb again. Regret because her lack of sight. She cursed herself for her ambitions. If she had not wanted to be Jared wife. She was sure that she would have her sight. She had to hold onto that one spark of hope. If she could feel Caleb, maybe she could do more. Maybe she could reach them. The knock at the door had her wiping away the remnants of tears. She opened the door to find Elva standing before her.
"May I enter?"
Stacey shrugged her shoulders and turned from the door. Leaving it ajar for Elva to enter. The door closed with a silent click that only the two women could hear.
"I could not stand to hear your soul cry any longer Stacey."
Stacy said nothing as she turned her head away in shame.
"I have always reveled in the fact that I am an alpha female. Always until now. For the past month, I have felt the sting of my limitations. Genetically I am superior, but I don't have the sight. You do. Harness it, as it is not lost to you."
Natures states that I have lost it!"
"Nature states no such thing. It's an old wife's tale. If you reached Caleb tonight try again.
Stacy shook her head negatively.
"My heart cannot bear it if I do."
"I came here tonight to say I admire you. Your sight is unknown to me until now. But I think I was wrong to come here. You are not willing to give your own son life."
Elva turned towards the door, her words were coarse as she spoke them and left.
"If the boys come back to us alive and you have not used your sight to aid in this matter. Then know this I will permanently relieve you of that sight."
Elva turned back towards Stacy letting her see her in her panther form her last words held conviction.
"I will rip the heart from your chest and raise Caleb as my own."
Stacy eyes grew wide with fear as she looked at the half panther half woman. Elva's red hair a stark contrast to her bluish skin. The yellow eyes that watched her were deadly. Every aspect of Elva had doubled in size. It was in that form that she opened the door and walked out.
Stacey knew from that moment, given the opportunity Elva would go against Jared and kill her. She had left Stacy with the decision of fight to find the others of the clan or do nothing and die. Stacey walked slowly to the opened door and closed it. Elva's words gave her enough of a jolt to give contacting Caleb a try.

Maxim and Klaus stepped from the company jet to the car awaiting them. Maxim spoke to Klaus as they descended the steps
"I need you to send word to the other five clan leaders. They in turn can get in contact with their people. The more eyes the better. Close the children center for the next couple of days. Say it's a water break and we are under repairs."
"We will find Kara and the others."
The conversation was caught short as a man yelled through the fence.
"Mr. Russell...Mr. Russell."
Maxim turned his grey eyes to the man and knew instantly who he was. Emerald's father. The same green eyes stared at him through the fence.
