Amy stood within the bushes outside of Maxim's home and stared intently at the house. The mansion lay dark and quiet within the throes of the night. More than a week had passed since her encounter with Jared's panther woman. As far as she knew the woman could be dead. More than a week had passed since she had seen Maxim. She had approached Klaus, but Klaus was tight lipped as to Maxims where about. Something that she was going to rectify real soon. The black jumpsuit she wore helped her to blend into the night. A small mist surrounded the grounds. Its appearance an illusion of blanket warmth.
Amy glanced around, she had been out there for two hours. Sitting in her parked car two miles down the road. The trek destroyed her Prada heels but Amy didn't care as they meant nothing to her. She didn't feel the pain in her feet. She felt the compulsion of her wants and needs. She wanted to be Maxim's wife. She needed to be Maxim's wife. More than anything she wanted to step through the bushes and enter the house. Amy was uncertain if her plan to remove Kara had worked. She knew Maxim had return but had not seen his wife. The leopards paid the amount they had owed for the women and children, her connection to them severed.
Anger ran its course through her veins. She had no true way of knowing if Kara was there or not. Not that she cared. Amy wasn't a stranger to getting someone out of the way. Nothing mattered at this point. Amy cared not that the children she had smothered blood lay on her hands. She cared not that Jared's sons could identify her or even the she herself may be hunted. Her mind was set. Maxim was her goal. Any goal she set out to achieve she attained. Amy stood within the cloak of the mist and soon coming pre-dawn light staring off into the distance at Maxim's house. A house she was determined to make her own.
LOUISANA
Lucas replaced the receiver in its cradle and picked up the walkie to respond.
"Are you sure it's her?"
The crackled response was a confirmation.
"Yes, sir we have photo confirmation."
Lucas fell silent, he had a decision to make.
"Sir? Are you there?"
"Yes, just follow her. I will let you know what steps I want to take ext."
"Yes sir."
The crackling ceased within Lucas office. Slowly he replaced the walkie back into its cradle and rose from his desk. His son sat silent behind him. He wanted this woman, he just didn't want the taint of her crimes to stain him. Lucas hissed under his breathe.
"Father is everything alright?"
"Yes, nothing I can't handle."
Lucas walked over to the door and opened it. He stepped aside letting the pregnant woman enter. He waited until she was seated before he began.
"What can I do for you?"
Her smile was sad as she lifted her blue eyes to him.
"Save me and my child."
Lucas looked from the woman to his son. Confusion marred his features.
"I'm not sure I understand what you are getting at?"
"I know that you are aware of what the viper has done to the were-panther clans."
Lucas nodded.
"I know you are aware that she killed my uncle and threatened to come after me."
"Yes, I have heard."
Lucas could feel the stress pouring off the woman in waves. Her raven black hair framed her elfin face.
