💕💕💕💕💕💕| Kellin's POV |
Today was one of those days. Another one. I was feeling absolutely worthless and disgusting. It was also a bad day to be feeing this way. Why? It was the weekend and I was supposed to go hang out with Vic. How could I though? I didn't want to drag his spirit down and I'm definitely no fun when I'm like this. I even tried to get out of it. As much as I wanted to hang out with him I still texted saying I wasn't feeling well. He offered to come and keep me company.
So now I was stuck.
I had roughly ten minutes until Vic got here and I was just sitting on the floor of my room, a spot that gave me a perfect view of my mirror and the way my stomach created rolls as I was siting. I had on boxers but that was it. I was memorized. The type of memorized that's associate when you see a bad car wreck and just cannot look away.
My pale skin seemed to melt into the soft off white walls and my eyes shone back at me but in a dull way. I was very self aware and every move I made seemed to send a shock to my brain. I was trying to shrink in on myself and just be...smaller. I took up so much space on my dark blue carpet it wasn't even funny.
I was ju-
"Kellin Vic is here." I heard my Dad say before he was opening the door slowly. I didn't see him but I couldn't imagine the look on his face and I actually heard his sigh. I was too much trouble. He walked around me and crouched down.
"Do you still want to go? I think it may be good, help you take your mind off of things." He said and I just nodded my head. He wanted a break from me. Who wouldn't?"I'll help you get dressed, just go sit on the bed for me bud." I simply done what he said and watched as the tried to turn my long mirror around he other way. He then opened my closet door and went through the assortment of clothes. He pulled out a long sleeve shirt that was a dark green color and then grabbed a random pair of skinny jeans from my drawer.
He came over and handed me the shirt. I slipped it over my head and then took the pants putting them on as well. Once my clothes were on I itched to look in the mirror but my Dad was making that impossible.
"Now you look great. Although your hair needs a little help." He chuckled light heartedly. He simply grabbed a beanie and slipped it on. "There ya go." He said and smiled widely at me.
"T-t-thanks D-dad." I told him and he just smiled.
"It's what I'm here for bud. Now grab a pair of socks. Vic's downstairs."I waited until he left and quickly turned the mirror around. I frowned at the reflection as usual. If Vic sees me like this he surely wouldn't want to be around, but I didn't have time to try and change before my Dad would be back up. I sighed and grabbed some socks and slipped them on, along with my shoes, before going downstairs.
I heard laughter and the sides of my mouth picked up slightly. Vic and my Dad obliviously were getting along very well. I waited until their laughter died down, not wanting to ruin the moment, before clearing my threat.
"There you are!" Vic said and jumped up from the couch.
"H-here I-I am-m." I said with a nervous chuckle. He hugged me quickly before pulling back and giving me his famous wide smile.
"You take longer than a girl to get ready." He teased and I just simply shrugged my shoulders. "But of course to look this cute you probably have to, then again it could just be natural." He seemed to stop a moment to think. "Yea you're just naturally cute."
"I take I'll credit for that." My Dad butted in. "Ya know he had to get the good genes from somewhere."
"I assume his jeans are from Hot Topic?" Vic said with a smug look and I couldn't help but laugh. Neither could my Dad.
"Only the best for my boy." Dad said and rolled his eyes at us. "You know I used to work at Hot Topic.""C-come on V-Vic b-before he s-starts a-about his-s g-glory days." I said and grabbed his hand to pull him out the door.
"Later Mr. Bostwick!" Vic yelled out behind us. He suddenly broke free from my grasp and ran to the passenger side door. He better not expect me to drive, I thought. Instead he just opened the door and gestured for me to get in. I blushed.
"T-t-thanks."
"No problem." He smiled and shut my door before running over to his side.He started the car and on the drive to his house I was pretty much silent. He played music and sang along which made it a little less awkward. I was just so nervous. I hadn't really hung out with anyone since before I was fifteen. That's a little over two years. Even then I wasn't that sociable.
I saw Vic reach his tanned hand over and he turned the radio down.
"Are you okay?" He asked with concern.
"Y-yeah."
"If you aren't don't be afraid to tell me. I may not understand exactly what's going on inside your head but I have had to help Mikey through quite a few of his bad days." He moved his hand and squeezed my thigh gently. "I'm here to talk if you need to." He said and I looked over just in time to see him give me a quick smile. And just like that I was smiling back and all my nerves were washed away.
