Alexandra,
Hope you are fine and good in your health. Everything else must be going on fine too.
Ivan told me about your granny's death. Accept my condolences. May the soul of the deceased rest in peace.
Alexandra, it was so nice of you to write that letter to Ivan which cleared his mind of any misunderstandings that were there. Just after he probably received your letter, he called me and told me that he was coming to London and we will come to your place together. I am very happy that his behavior is softening towards me. I am very grateful to you for that. However, it was your responsibility to sort the mess you had created in our lives. His attitude is changing towards me. It didn't look like he tried to be the perfect man for me but the way things are changing, I am certain that is the effect of your words on him.
Those two days, when he was here, we really had a great time together. They were the best days of my life so far. We spent some great moments of intimacy and love together. Although they were not for long enough. I can live my life on just the memory of Ivan holding me when we went dancing. It was the best moment. But I don't want to live my life on mere memories. I want to keep making memories with my husband.
For the first time, that night we shared a bed. We couldn't be very intimate but at least I could stay near him. I could watch him while he slept. Do you know sadness and grief has occupied every cell in Ivan's body? His eyes look empty and deserted. They are colder than I have ever seen them. They lost the warmth they had when he was in love with you, a couple of years back.
Ivan can never forget you. He never will. But I know he will try his best to be the perfect husband for me. He can't live forever with your memories. If it all continues, I will lose my husband and the love of my life. And I don't want that to happen.
Anyway, I wanted to thank you for the reception dinner. That's so nice of you to think of us as your family even when you don't have any relationship with us now.
Take care. Looking forward to seeing you.
Mrs. Samantha Jackson
