Letter#20: From Alex to Bella

Dearest Bella,

I hope you are fine and happy. Hope everyone else is fine too. I understand that Tim wants to have his wedding in London. I know how he loves London. It was just a suggestion. I'm not forcing you two. I'm glad that you agreed with him. I can't force you to have your wedding here.

As you know that Jake has been in Germany for quite some time. He was living in an apartment with his colleagues. One day I went to meet him and it was such a mess. I didn't like it one bit so I brought him home with me. He didn't want to but I forced him to. How could I see him living in such an unhygienic condition? It is so nice to have someone living here with me other than the staff. Jake is such a lively person. He is always cracking jokes and teasing me. I'm smiling these days more than I used to.

He was really striving at is the previous job. They were paying him a low wage. I need to have a CEO for my company as I cannot go there every day and look after things. I asked my director to train Jake. He's undergoing his training. He's a quick learner and hard working man. Each day the director is all praises about him. I will place him as the CEO of the company and as my proxy. I really want someone who I could trust my family business with my eyes closed. I have a strong feeling that Jake is the one.

Bella, do you remember the ring you saw on my finger on the evening of your engagement? Jake gave that ring to me as my birthday present. I was feeling pretty special because he told me he had never bought a gift for a girl ever before in my life. When Ivan will get to know that Jake lives with me and works for me, he is certainly going to think that I betrayed him and our love. But as I said, it doesn't matter to me anymore. I want Jake to be with and stay with me here at my house.  I want his support and love. Speaking of love, let me tell you that last week Jake told me over dinner that he loved me. He said he loved me ever since but because he's always looked towards Ivan as his brother, he buried his feelings. He said he didn't have the courage to tell me about his feelings for me. When he was telling me all that I was so shocked and he had tears in his eyes.

I think life has given me another chance to be with Jake. To be happy and live my dream life as long as I'm alive. Jake has proposed to me to marry him. I just don't really know if it is right or wrong to say "yes". He said he'll wait for me and whatever decision I make, it would be acceptable to him. People will think that Jake married me because of my status and money. They will never understand his feelings for me. He has his whole life ahead but I have a few days left. Feelings only matter for me.

Give my love to everyone. You will get a package in a day or two. It has gifts for everyone and somethings that you might need on your wedding. Do tell me about what you think about me and Jake. I'm missing you all a lot. Take care.
