Letter#2: From Alex to Ivan

Hello Ivan,
Hope you are fine and happy. Everyone is absolutely fine and happy here. Weather is cold here. It snowed here yesterday and I missed you so much. It is not that I do not miss you any other time. I miss you always, Ivan.

Sam is recovering nicely. Her ankle is much better than before. You are right. Sam cannot stay still. She is still limping around the place. She is just not the stay-in –one place person.

Bella has gone off to Cambridge for some work. She told me about your call when she called Tim. It was the day before your letter arrived. My computer had some problem with the network. I will get it fixed as soon as possible but I'm facing a bit of financial shortage. I left my job at the bistro and currently, I'm job hunting for the other one.

Writing letters is very sweet in this modern age when people prefer phones and internet to communicate. Internet and phones do not have the charm letters do.

I was so happy when Lawrence brought me your letter. It is something that I can have with me whenever I want. I do not care whatever you write in your letters. Just keep writing me letters and I will keep writing them back.

I miss you here a lot. Christmas time and playing in the snow. The house seems incomplete without you, Ivan. All of us miss you a lot.

Ivan, if it is not too much to ask, will you be able to come for Christmas this year? It would be very nice if you do. It has been three years since you went to Toronto. It is okay if you cannot. I hope your remaining time goes well there.
