// Winter is one of the most wonderful times of the year. It's colder outside, everyone's dressed up so cozily, and it's amazing to invite friends over to share a cup of hot chocolate. That's why Brendon decided to throw a small before Christmas party with his group of friends at his house while his parents are away for a trip that Brendon didn't want to attend. Problem was that he couldn't find his tall friend. //

The party had been going great, all his friends were having a good time and then Brendon remembered something. He hasn't seen Dallon around. Brendon remembered inviting him over and he did arrive, however, there hasn't been a sight of him in a while. He asked a few people where he was but they all replied with either "I don't know" or check some random place in his own house.

Dallon wasn't in the bathroom, a guest bedroom, or even where the living room where the party was held. Brendon decided he'll check outside, the front porch and the backyard. As he went up the stairs to get a jacket, a friend went up to ask him a question.

"Hey, Brendon, you alright? You've kinda been pacing around." His friend, Jake Chamseddine, inquired.

"Y-yeah! I'm just looking for Dallon, no one has seen him around. I'm getting sorta worried." Brendon answered once Jake nodded his head and let him continue to go up to his room. He clearly remembered inviting Dallon and the tall guy entering his home. How do you let such a tall guy out of your radar?

He grabbed a jacket from his quite large closet. It was a simple black one made by North Face with the fabric that keeps in heat from your body. He put it on and want back downstairs, where all the conversations had begun.

Everybody asked where he was going just outside because it was a quick answer. When he checked the porch, there was only a few friends sitting on the bench, sharing assorted hot drinks with kind smiles and laughter all around.

"Hello, Brendon! Lookin' for someone?" A female friend asked. All of the other people agreed and awaited for a response.

"Just looking for Dallon, have you guys seen him?" He hoped they could respond because if he wasn't in the backyard then he has no idea where he could be.

"Sorry, Bren, I have no clue. Maybe you should check the bathrooms?" Someone else suggested. Everybody else didn't have an answer.

"Already checked there but thanks for helping. See you later!" He popped back into the house and walked toward the back door that lead to the backyard. He opened the door and the cold air was let in. It was a beautiful white outside as the trees were bare and the ground was covered with speckles of snow.

The only thing out there was a swinging bench meant for two or three. Dallon has to be there because there was no sight of him inside of the house. Nobody was outside in the backyard either somehow. He walked toward the bench swing and he heard a soft voice with a instrument.

"Christmas is a drag sometimes...please say next year you will be mine—shoot! Wrong note." That voice was unmistakably Dallon's. Brendon could identify that voice from miles away, it's not that hard to recognize after having him play in your band for a while.

Luckily for Brendon, the bench faced away from the house, so, he waited a little before going up to him. Brendon stood there listening to Dallon sing a Christmas song that he probably made. Whatever the song was, it sounded a little heartbreaking as Brendon was listening attentively to the lyrics.

"Another Christmas without you...that makes it two in a row. Just wrap me up like a present, I'll tie you up with a bow." Brendon found these lyrics cute and a smile made it to his lips.

"Oh, how I wish it was last year...when we were still best friends..." That line hurt to hear and Brendon swore it could be about them. They were such good friends until last year. All of the sudden, the once best friends became almost strangers. And to be honest, Brendon missed their interaction whether it was on stage or off stage. They were two peas in a pod and Brendon thought they could stay friends 'till the end of time. Before Brendon had a chance to fall into a hole of deep thinking, he walked up to Dallon and tapped his shoulder.

Dallon turned around with red all over his face and his eyes not looking directly at Brendon.

"H-hey! Brendon, how long have you been here?" Dallon's voice was the tiniest bit shaky and his hand scratched the back of his head.

"I think long enough to know that you have a really wonderful voice." Brendon decided to next to him.

"T-thanks." Dallon muttered and set his ukulele down.

"So, well, why aren't you inside? Is my party that lame?" The shorter man asked his eyes on the sky.

"Brendon Urie's parties are never lame. I'm just not the party kind of type. Besides, you know and I know, that I'm a quiet guy. I've had small talk with your friends and the other guys but that's about it." Dallon explained looked at Brendon and then setting his eyes on the sky as well.

"Oh, I see, have you had a drink yet? Some people are already drunk." Brendon laughed.

"Not even a drop of alcohol but that Dr. Pepper, I've had a few sips of." And that's the end of their conversation. They sat in the cold next to each other with their eyes sometimes on the person next to them. Brendon thought this moment was perfect, it almost felt like a time during a tour where the two of them just laid on the couch, enjoying their company.

"Hey, Dallon?" Brendon wanted to know something.

"Mhm?"

"Who's that song for?"

"For someone, I used to know them quite well and I still kinda have a crush on them. But I don't think they really like me back. It's sorta stupid to have a crush on someone, who you know that doesn't like you back, don't you think?" Brendon really thought the song was about him now. Those words left Dallon's mouth with a bittersweet tone.

"I think I know how your crush is. And I think that he likes you back." Brendon simpered, letting his feet rock back and forth off the ground.

"Hmm...I don't know, could you tell me what does this person think about me?"

"He thinks you're really cute and that you have pretty eyes. All he wants to do is to talk to you more, doesn't matter if you're his boyfriend or not. He kinda misses your company, Dal. Sounds like a pretty desperate guy if you ask me." Brendon giggles and his eyes are now Dallon.

"He sounds like he's willing to give me a try. I wouldn't mind giving that relationship a chance and if doesn't work out, I hope we can still stay friends." The taller man put emphasis on the "we" and that gave all the answers Brendon needed.

"Sure you wanna give this a try, Dallon? You sure you wanna kiss some crazy guy each morning?"

"Of course, crazy's fine by me." With that last sentence, Dallon leaned down to kiss Brendon's lips. There's a newfound warmth in the air between them and the sounds of the party behind disappeared.

Inviting Dallon to a party was probably one of Brendon's best ideas yet.

eEk! Gah, I love this scene so much,,,y'all have no idea. The song "Christmas Drag" (by the Weekes man) has that one line that does sound that it could be about him and Brendon but of course, it's obviously not! I just like to imagine what would happen if it was, so, this came to mind! Also, what's wrong with me, I'm writing Christmas/Winter related content when Halloween hasn't even past, smh. I'll have a Halloween related one-shot soon, I'm just trying to think of something. Also, I forgot to say, I take requests! So, if you have an idea that needs to be written, I'm here! Thank you for reading! Have a good day!
