"Lydia?" I ask.
"Who are you?" She looks slightly scared, but she is holding something in her hand that I'm going to guess is a weapon. I also conveniently forgot that I was wearing my spiderman suit, so obviously she doesn't know who I am.
"How do you know my name?" she asks, determined to get an answer.
I clear my throat and adjust the pitch of my voice. "I know everything," Wow, that sounds incredibly lame. But it works, because I see her eyes widen with fear.
"Who are you?" she repeats.
"Drop your weapon," I command. She doesn't move; I guess she's trying to keep the weapon secret. So I point to her fist, proving that I know she has one, and she reluctantly drops it.
It's a tiny switchblade, nothing that would do serious damage. Against me, anyways. I am skilled with defensive combat.
I see her studying my suit and my mask, and then I remember. Allison saw me in my suit the first night I moved here, and if Lydia tells Allison what she saw in the woods...
"Okay, how about this? I tell you my name, and you tell nobody, and I mean nobody, about this?" I propose.
She hesitates for a second, but then she nods.
I sigh. "My name is Ned. Ned Leeds," I internally curse myself for using my best friend's name. Well, he used to be my best friend back in New York.
To my surprise, Lydia snorts. "Ned? No wonder you don't like telling people your name!" she laughs harder.
Ignoring her, I say "So do we have a deal?"
"Yeah," she nods. "On one condition,"
"That's not how this works!"
"That's how things work when you deal with Lydia." the redhead smirks. "You have to go on a date with me,"
"No! No way," I shake my head. "No."
"Well I guess I could just tell everyone what you look like and your name-"
"Okay!" I groan. "Okay, I'll go on a date with you. But you realise I have to wear the suit, right?"
"That's fine," she steps closer. "It looks sexy."
Figures Lydia would have a crush on both versions of me.
"Meet me here tomorrow, same time,"
"We can have a picnic," she suggests.
I roll my eyes, which she can't see.
"Yeah, okay, well I have to go now." I awkwardly excuse myself, turning away.
"You stick to your word, I'll stick to mine." she reminds.
And before I could even turn around, she's gone.

"Well, did you find anything in the Bestiary?" Scott asks me as soon as I step into Beacon Hills High School.
