Today is Sunday.
My Sunday's usually consist of Church with my family, then the rest of the day usually is spent on homework and tidying up the house.
But this Sunday in particular, I am parked outside Peter Parker's house, article in hand, ready to confront him about the truth of his parents' death.
Well, I wouldn't say that I'm parked right outside of his house. I actually parked a street away, just incase Lydia was suspicious; I cancelled plans with her today. She wanted to do more stalking on social media.
I have no right to do this- none at all- but yet I feel it is where I am supposed to be right now at this moment.
I probably should have informed him I was coming over, but then he might have avoided me. Peter tends to avoid his problems.
Wait, what if he's not even home?
Oh God and even worse, what if I meet his Aunt for the first time?
Go home, a part of my conscience argues. The other half is telling me to walk to his door for Christ's sake!
I listen to the latter.
I shove the article into my purse and slather on a little bit of lip gloss for good measure.
My combat boot clad feet slowly walk up to the the old Hale house. I realize I never got around to asking Peter why he lived there. Why did he live there?
However, the house looks brand new. If my friends and I weren't so well acquainted with the previously ruined house, we wouldn't have recognized it.
I knock so quietly, I'm not sure anybody in the house was able to hear it.
Nevertheless, the door opens.
"Hello?"
It's not Peter at the door. I try to hide my nerves and shock, but I'm sure it shows.
It's his aunt, or at least that's what I'm assuming. She's a young brunette, with big frames on her face and tan skin; She's stunning. I immediately relax when I see her smiling.
"Um, Hi," I say meekly. "I'm Allison,"
Her face lights up instantly. "You're the girl- ", She clears her throat, "Oh please come in!" She says delightedly as she opens the door wider into the house.
I step in hesitantly after her. I can't help but gasp at how beautiful the house is.
"Your house is lovely," I compliment.
"Thank you dear! Peter helped me quite a bit," She smirks.
I smile at the idea of Peter painting and decorating the house.
"Oh! Excuse my manners, I completely forgot to introduce myself. I'm Peter's aunt, but you can just call me May," She says sweetly.
We chit-chat for a few minutes in the living room, and I'm beginning to wonder if Peter's even home. I anxiously pick at the frayed strands in my jeans.
"I bet you're wondering where Peter is," she says knowingly.
I nod my head sheepishly.
"He's at his first lacrosse practice," I can tell May is happy about this.
"Really?" I'm surprised he actually signed up. I thought for sure after our last conversation Peter wouldn't heed any of my advice.
"Yeah, I can't wait to hear all about it," May says giddily.
