[pretend that Peter is Scott in this image LOL]

"Peter, can you please participate," Allison whispers. "They're asking about themes, surely you have some ideas,"
We are currently at the homecoming dance planning meeting, and I want to smack my head off the desk.
"You signed me up into this mess," I grumble.
She gives me a pointed look, and I roll my eyes. Allison gives me that look whenever she wants to remind me of our riding situation- she offered to take me to and from school everyday. Except now she's using it more like blackmail.
"What about a Fall theme?" Lydia suggests.
"That's stupid," I mutter.
"Peter, is there something you would like to say?" Ms. D, the head organizer of the dance, asks.
"I said that's stupid. Everyone knows what season it is," I roll my eyes.
Lydia narrows her eyes, "You don't have any suggestions, so zip it."
"What about a magical themed dance? Like an enchanted forest or some shit," I counter Lydia's previous statement.
Oos and Ahs are heard around the classroom.
"Peter, remember no swearing in the classroom. But I love your idea," Ms. D approves.
"Great, meeting adjourned?" I ask hopefully.
"We still have plenty to do I'm afraid, Mr. Parker,"
-
"I love your theme, Peter. I already have so many ideas," Allison comments. I wait for her to say more, but thankfully she doesn't ramble on like Lydia. I'm already annoyed by Lydia, I could almost see the ridiculous ideas brewing in her head. I can't wait to shoot them all down next meeting.
We decided to take a small pit stop at an abandoned park, but Allison promises that it's still beautiful. It's vacant, unsurprisingly. Aside from the fact that the park is completely rundown, the weather has been getting increasingly cold every day. Allison tells me that this is the coldest place in California, and I find that to be slightly disquieting.
"Mhm," I finally remember to reply, as nonchalant as possible, not being one to comfortably accept praise. I focused on our hands linked together, hers noticeably smaller. And cuter, if possible for hands to be.
"I'm sorry I dragged you into it," She apologizes. "I know planning a school dance is probably the last thing you wanted to do,"
"I can think of worse." I reassure, and genuinely mean it.
In all actuality, I was the one that encouraged us to stop somewhere. Mainly because I didn't feel like going home immediately. At home awaits the re-opened case of my parents deaths, and, quite frankly, I'm dreading the possibilities of what I- we- could uncover.
She agreed easily- trust me this is a rare thing for Allison- and I think that maybe she isn't quite ready to go home, either.
Looking at the vast amount of trees with red and orange and yellow hues, I have to agree with Allison that it is stunning. This place gives me an odd feeling of wanting to live in the moment, so I do.
