Chapter 2
A phone ringing woke up Lilly. She had been dreaming of her first meeting with the 'Losers' club. She frowned slightly still half asleep. She went and answered the phone. Her hair was still blonde but now it was slightly more curly than her straight hair. She had it in a braid at the base of her neck. She was not very tall but she had a good figure. She was wearing a low backed White nightgown with a blue robe over it as she went to answer the phone. "Hello?" she asks.
"Lilly, it's Bill," the familiar voice of her husband rang through the young woman's ears. She hadn't seen him in a while as he was called back to hometown Derry after another book release to the local library and he was called for a book signing for avid fans for such hits like the classic, The Glowing. "IT's back," he told her, sounding grave. "How much do you remember?"
"Bill!" she gasped slightly. She had missed her husband when he returned to Derry. She froze when she heard Bill mention IT. "I remember it all..." she says softly. "I'm driving to Derry as soon as I'm dressed..." she tells him. After all something happened when they were younger that meant they were to return to Derry. "I love you Bill, see you soon" she tells him softly and lovingly.
She started to get dressed while still on the phone. "Hurry, the others will be joining us." Bill quickly added before calling the rest of their childhood group members. As soon as they said final goodbyes for now Lilly found herself thinking of what else had happened. She hurried, got in the car and then reminisced as she drove...
*Flashback starts*
A couple of hours later it was the lunchtime. Lilly had found out she had classes with the others. She was happy that she had made friends but soon the happiness would be dampened a little by the bullies once again.
The Losers were sitting together, sharing stories and having a good time together. They all then glared once Henry and the bullies came back for more taunting on them.
"What do you want now?" Beverly asked, trying to sound sharp as her father.
"I want you all to apologise or I'll have to get the apologies another way," Henry says nastily leering at the girls. He really hated these kids and loved to make their life a misery, he'd not kill the girls, at least not to begin with.
"W-W-Why don't you just g-g-go away!?" Billy demanded, trying to look as firm as he could.
"W-W-Why should we?" one of Henry's goons mocked the stuttering boy and shoved him over his chair.
"Hey, leave him alone!" Beverly lashed out.
"Move it, girly!" another goon shoved her. That made Eddie angry.
Lilly was angry too but she first helped up Billy. "Stop it!" she says, not liking how Henry and his gang were picking on the others. She clenched her fists and slightly trembled from anger. She had a friend from her old town who had been hurt seriously by bullies and seeing others being bullied reminded her of that.
Richie and Ben were sitting there not wanting to get into trouble but ready to help their friends.
Henry smirked "aww guys look at the new girl, so scared she's trembling" he sneers. He planned to beat them all up even though they were in school.
"L-L-Leave her ALONE!" Billy gritted his teeth, sounding fierce.
"What're you gonna do about it, girly?" a boy spit against Lilly.
"Big mistake." Beverly growled, crossing her arms.
Richie and Ben stood up, angry that the other spat on their new friend.
Lilly got herself up and helped Eddie up before wiping the spit off her cheek. The hand she used to wipe it off clenched once again into the fist, "no one hurts my friends, and especially not by shoving me!" she says and then punched out aiming to hit the one who spit on her. After hitting him she shook her fist out slightly narrowing her eyes.
Henry gave a small growl and headed to pick her up by the front of her shirt.
"I-I-I said l-leave her a-alone!" Billy growled. He was then held down by one of the goons, burping in his face.
"What's going on over there!?" a sharp voice called. it was one of the schoolteachers. She looked very cross and firm with the bullies harming the Losers. "Young man, get off of that girl this instant!"
Henry let Lilly go a dark promise of pain going to head her way in his eyes. "Ok Miss..." he says tensely and put her down roughly. He and his gang then turned to walk away.
Lilly looked at the school teacher. "Thank you Miss," she says softly. Now the anger had faded she was upset. She felt so touched that the group had defended her, and felt proud she had been able to kind of defend them. She had a tiny hint of pink from how fiercely Billy had defended her. She also hoped Eddie was ok, an almost sibling bond had already started to be and strengthen.
"Thank you." the teacher said, then kept walking through the cafeteria. "Back to business!"
The other students chattered as the Losers were alone, just how they liked it.
"Thanks, Lilly." Eddie smiled.
"That was cool of you to stick up for Lilly." Beverly told Billy, noticing he was blushing a bit.
Billy chuckled nervously, then glanced at Lilly a bit without her looking back. "Hey, n-n-no big deal."
"Stick with us, Lil, you'll be fine with us on your side." Richie laughed.
"Lil?" she asks, surprised at the nickname. She then smiled softly and massaged her aching hand a little. "I'm only happy to help" she says embarrassed to get any thanks when she didn't think she truly deserved it. She then, when her blush was under control, smiled at Billy not staring though "thanks Billy" she says her nose once again wrinkling cutely.
Billy chuckled sheepishly. "You're welcome, Lil."
Eddie and Beverly glanced at each other, then at Billy and Lilly. They seemed to be really fond of each other like love at first sight.
"Follow me after school, we can hang out with the others." Billy suggested to Lilly.
"Ok," Lilly replies smiling still. She was so happy to have proper friends.
Ben smiled and then frowned slightly as he checked what time it was. It was almost time for the bell to ring.
