Chapter 8

 Bill sat on the edge of the bed as Lilly looked distressed still. "Why don't you listen to some music?" he suggested, trying to soothe her. 

 Lilly looked at him and joined him on the bed. Out of her pocket she brought out her locket that had a picture of her and Bill in. She leaned against him once they got comfortable. "I remember the day you got me this..," she says no louder than a whisper. She then opened it up and the tune started to play.

 Beverly eyed Ben as she was going in her room. She then noticed him looking back at her and quickly went into her room. She felt odd around him since they were kids, but wasn't sure if it was a crush or not. Even now, she wondered if it was a returning crush of some sort. Hopefully they could all sleep like calm babies tonight.

 Ben watched her go and then went into his room. He was silently cursing himself, thinking that he'd never be able to be with the girl he loved, Beverly.

 Henry snuck into the hotel and headed to Mike's room, something guiding him there.

 "I remember too..." Bill said softly with a smile. 

 Mike yawned a bit and made himself comfortable. He then laid down gently in the bed, not exhausted, but decided to catch some rest. They all had a big day together.

 Bill had gotten her the locket on their first date. They had been at a slightly out of town fair and Lilly had seen the locket in a stall. She had looked at it but passed it by. Then a short while later Bill had pulled it out of his pocket and placed it around her neck. She remembered how they had also shared their first kiss and truly fell in love. As she listened to the tune and reminisced she snuggled up to Bill.

 Ben was suddenly visited by Beverley, or who he thought was Beverley, and was shocked as she kissed him. He pulled away when he noticed something wrong. It was IT who sneered "kiss me fat boy!" before disappearing as the scuffle with Henry and mike was loud enough to alert them all.

 Henry barged into Mike's room and went to attack him. He fought until he had managed to stab Mike. But he was stopped by Eddie and Ben who killed him.

 Bill smiled and snuggled her back as he shared their precious memory together.

 Beverly shot straight up in her bed, feeling alarmed. "What was that?" she asked, sounding breathless.

 Mike growled and hissed in pain from the stab. He wasn't killed, but it was still very painful. He then looked down and recognized his predator. "Henry..." he said in a whispery tone.

 Ben looked down at Henry surprised they had killed him. He then went to Mike. "Oh gosh" he says. He then took his coat off to hold it on Mike's wound.

 Richie came running in wondering what was going on.

 Lilly blinked as she heard the last crash from the scuffle. She then put the locket safely away and then went with Bill to examine what had happened.

 Mike groaned a bit in pain, releasing a tear, but he was glad he was with his friends.

 Beverly ran in too and saw Mike in pain. "Is he hurt bad?"

 "The wound will ease soon enough, I was lucky." Mike managed to struggle out and say.

 Bill and Lilly had come inside Mike's room.

 Ben kept the pressure on Mike's wound.

 Richie lifted Mike up while getting Ben to keep the pressure on the wound. "We have to get him to the hospital, Ben lend Lilly your keys, she's the only one who can get us to the hospital quickly" he says, as he had to hold on to mike too.

 Ben hesitated and tossed the keys to Lilly.

 Lilly caught the keys, and then led the way to Ben's car, the only one that was slightly newer than all the other cars.

 Mike still winced in the pain, but he was still lucky and happy to be alive. 

 Bill followed her and went to sit next to her.

 Once everyone was in the car, which was a bit of a squeeze but they managed it, Lilly started the car. She then started to quickly drive, while making sure the car didn't crash or anything. Her face was grim, as she could only cover her fear and anger with that face. She got them to the hospital in double quick time. Richie had been right she had been quick enough to get mike to the hospital quickly.

 Ben got out and then kept the pressure on Mike's wound and helped Richie get him into the hospital.

 Mike grunted from the pressure and came out, escourted by Ben and Richie. Bill opened the door for them and they quickly dashed inside the hospital. It was almost dead, there were only about two or three people inside the waiting room, so Bill went to the reception desk.

 "Our friend has been stabbed, he needs someone." Bill said, quickly.

 "Name?" the nurse asked.

 "Mike Hanlon." Bill said.

 The nurse did some of her computer work as everyone sat down to comfort Mike.

 Lilly was sitting next to Bill holding Mike's hand comfortingly.

 Richie still held Mike.

 Ben was looking around.

 Mike softly wheezed as Bill took a clipboard to fill out for Mike. "I'll ask you questions and you answer for me, okay?" 

 "Okay, shoot."

 Bill and Mike filled out the form and were able to get Mike to stay in a room and have a doctor look at him. 

 "I hope Mike will be okay." Beverly said to Ben, looking in his eyes, then away quickly.

 Ben put a hand gently on her shoulder. "He should be, you know mike, he's strong" he soothes.

 Lilly was playing with her hair. She was chewing on the inside of her cheek gently.

 Richie was looking contemplative. And looked at his 'brother' and by default 'sister' and patted their shoulders.

 "I'm just glad you guys are here." Mike said, softly.

 "I'm glad we're here too." Beverly smiled at him, putting her hand on Mike's other shoulder, then unknowingly touched Ben's fingers.

 "What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger." Bill advised, then pushed his glasses back.

 Ben blushed a tiny bit. "Just get better ok Mike?" he says.

 Richie gave a tiny grin. "Yeah because that way you won't have to suffer this hospital food" he jokes.

 Lilly reached and held her husband's hand. "We'll get this jerk for us all Mike" she says softly.

 After seeing Mike was comfy and taken care if nicely. Everyone decided to go and confront IT and finally get rid of IT.
