Chapter 5

Emma's POV (Shortly after arriving at Chuck-E-Cheese)

Dad, can we we pizza and ice cream?? "Anything you want Em." Okay, what about cheese pizza with a lot of extra cheese and chocolate ice cream?? Dad laughs. "Does that sound good to you girls?" Both regina and Zelena smile and agree at the same time. All the grownups laugh. When the food comes, all the girls scarf it down and go to play. "Oh boy" Both Snow and Cora give david a curious look. "What?... I'm just glad i have work tomorrow". Snow hits his arm with an annoyed smile on her face. "Charming, sometimes i really don't like you". He shot her his most charming smile and laughed while snow just gave him a death glare. "Mom, my tummy hurts" said Zelena, "Mine too" cried Regina. Emma runs up to snow. Mommy!! Can i please have some more ice cream??? Snow glares at David, knowing that she has to tell Emma no. "I'm sorry sweetie, i think it's about time to get you home, it's way past your bedtime". Awwh, do i have to go to bed? Charming swoops in to save Snow from delivering more bad news to Emma. "Yes you do young lady" But I'm not tired! "Emma, it may be your birthday, but that doesn't mean you argue with us or raise your voice at us" Sorry Mommy. "Apologise to your father too". Sorry Daddy. "It's okay princess"

Snow's POV (A few moments later in the car)

Emma, sweetie I'm sorry we couldn't stay longer, but did you still have a good birthday? She didn't respond, she thought emma was ignoring her. She turns around to see Emma passed out in the back seat. She begins to laugh. "Snow, what's so funny". She said she wasn't tired and she's back there passed out.  Snow dozed off. "Snow, we're home, you go inside and lay down, I'll get Em". No, no. I'll come with. "Are you sure?" Yeah.. yeah, just go ahead and grab her. Emma's eyes start to flutter open. "Sorry Em, i didn't mean to wake you". "I'm not asleep". David lays her in bed. She smiles then drifts back off to sleep. Both Snow and David kiss her goodnight, then they go to bed.

The next morning

Emma, come on sweetie, time to wake up. "No thanks". It's  almost 12, get up Emma. "Just 5 more minutes.. please" No Emma, now! "But my tummy hurts a lot". I know sweetie, i know. Emma vomits all over Snow. "I'm sorry Mom". It's okay, it was accident. "Mom, I'm never eating ice cream again"Snow laughs under her breath. You say that know. Emma vomits again. Snow puts her hand on Emma's head. Oh my God Emma, you're burning up! Okay lay back down.  "But mom, i was supposed to go to Gina's house today". Sorry sweetie, not today, i'll be right back, i'm gonna go call your dad. "No, i don't want him to worry". Em, he's your father, he's always going to worry about you. Emma drifted back off to sleep.

David's POV  (At the Sheriff's Station)

Hey, deputy Murphy! "Sheriff Nolan?" Book this punk, i have a missed call from my wife, be back in a sec. Redials Snow.

Hey Snow, everything okay?

"Not really, emma's burning up with a fever of 103.7"

I'll be home in a few. Ends call. 

Murphy, i gotta run, my kids sick, you're deputy sheriff until i'm back. "Okay boss, tell Em to get better, or she'll face the wrath of uncle Tommy, Got it?" She'd love to see you, come by anytime!
