Snow's POV
I wake up to the smell of bacon and eggs, I immediately jumped out of bed and steal a piece of bacon from Charming. "Hey! Hands off, your plate's on the counter". Oh, thanks babe... I can't stop thinking about that sweet little girl we met yesterday, Emma. "Me too, I don't see why, I've met plenty of little kids before, there's just something about this one". Okay, I have a thought, so get ready... What if we adopt her. He suddenly looks up and smiles at me, I can tell he was thinking the same thing. "I totally agree, I'll do some research and find out what agency she's with, then we'll go from there".
An hour later...
Charming's POV
Snow, lets go! "You found it?". Yep, and it's only 10 minutes away, lets go.
At the Maine adoption agency
Excuse me ma'am, I have a question about a little girl staying at a foster home around the corner. "Oh, Emma? She's just the sweetest thing isn't she." You know her? "Yeah, she's the only girl in that house, other than the mother." Well, me and my wife were wondering what the steps to adopting her were. "Well It can take months for an adoption to be official, but with how excited you seem to be, I have a feeling that it would be worth the wait." Yes definitely, and snow smiled and agreed enthusiastically. "We can send someone for a house check in a few days, just to make sure that it's up to code, is that okay?" Both Snow and I said absolutely at the same time. "If all goes well at the house check, she can start staying with you whenever you're ready." Both Snow and I smiled, snow then asked when we can tell her. "You could go see her now if you'd like, or I can send a representative to pick her up and she can just stay here for a few days, instead of going back". That sounds like a great idea to me, to both of us. About 5-10 minutes later Emma showed up with a suitcase and a big smile on her face, and it suddenly got even bigger when she saw us.
Snow's POV
Well, hello there princess! "Is it true, is it really true?" Yes it is sweetie, but your going to stay here for a few days, then you're going to come and stay with us. Sound good to you? "YES!!" Okay sweetie, we'll see you in a few days. "Bye Snow, bye David!"
