Chapter 17

Saturday morning...

Can we please go home now? "Yeah sweetie, we're leaving in a few minutes". Can I go to school on Monday? "No princess, you're gonna be on bed rest until Thursday". Thursday? But don't you guys have work? "Yeah, I do princess". "I'm not going back until you go back sweetie". Okay. Emma tries to stand up to leave the hospital when her parents leave the room to sign discharge papers. Once she leaves her hospital room, Snow sees her. "Emma Ruth! What did we just tell you?!" See mom, i'm fine, i just walked out of the room on my own! She tries walking some more, and she loses balance, but David caught her before she fell. "Princess, this is why you're not supposed to walk". I'm sorry, i just wanted to be able to do it. "I know, you will, but just not yet". Can you put me in my wheelchair? "I'm thinking i wanna carry you". Emma rolls her eyes. Dad please. "Fine". Thanks dad. 

David's POV (Saturday evening) 

"MOM! DAD! SOMEONE!!" Yes Emma? David said in an annoyed voice. "I'm bored and tired and did i mention that i'm bored, because i'm really bored. Where's mom?" She went to the grocery store. "Dad, i'm really booorrreeeedddd!" Emma, watch TV or read a book. Emma rolls her eyes. David leaves the room and calls Snow. 

Snow, are you almost here?!
Yeah, i'll be home in like 5 minutes, is something wrong
She's killing me!!!!
How so? 
She's bored, really bored! 
Snow starts laughing
It's not that funny snow...
Oh Charming, you've been alone with a bored teenager for half an hour, i'm gonna be alone with her for days. 
Point taken.
"DAAAAAAAADDDD!! I'm hungry!!!!! Snow gets home and comes upstairs. "Dad, help me up". Um, no. 

Snow's POV

"Mom!! I'm hungry, let me go downstairs to eat pleaaasssee!" No, i'll bring you something up. "Ugh i'm bored and tired and hungry!" After you eat, you can go to sleep. Snow comes upstairs and gives Emma her food, Emma eats her food and when she's done snow takes her dishes back downstairs and turns Emma's light off. "Mom!" What is it sweetie? "Can you stay in here until i fall asleep?" Of course i will. Once Emma fell asleep, Snow went to her room to go to bed, but at 3 am Snow heard Emma screaming. She ran to her room to try to comfort her and wake her up. Snow lays beside Emma and wraps he arms around her to keep her still. Emma, it's just a dream. Wake up honey, it's just a dream. Emma wakes up and starts crying. "I'm sorry mom". For what sweetie? "I'm 17, you shouldn't have to climb in bed with me so that I feel safe". Sweetheart, you are my daughter, and that means me and your father will do whatever it takes to make you feel safe.

Killians POV (Tuesday Morning at school)

Hey, Gina! Have you been to Emma's house to check on her since that day at the hospital? "No, we should go see her today". Do you want to go together? "No, it's alright, I have a STUCO meeting today, so you go ahead and see her without me". Alright. A few moments later in third period, Killian over hears some other kids talking. "Hey dude, did you hear about Mrs. Nolan's kid?" "Yeah, bro, I heard she went crazy or something". Killian turns around. What the hell did you just say?! "Dude, chill, it's just a rumor". Yeah, a rumor that no one should be spreading around! "Bro, it's not a rumor if it's true. Killian punched the kid that was spreading rumors. "Killy!!" Regina yelled. Killian was sent to the nurse to get his hand bandaged up and then he received a 3 day suspension and was sent home early. Instead of going home, he went to go see Emma.

At Emma's house

Killian knocks on the door, David answered. "Killian? What are you doing here, it's 9:30, shouldn't you be at school?" No Sir, not exactly. "What do you mean?" I was sent home early. David looks down at his hand. "What happened to your hand?" This kid was starting rumors about Emma, and I couldn't just do nothing so I... punched him. Kid, I gotta admit, I'm starting to like you. Killian smirked and Snow walked downstairs. "Killian? What are you doing here? What happened to your hand?... Nevermind, let me just grab you some ice". Thank you Mrs. Nolan. Do you guys mind if I just go up and check on Emma? "Sure kid, go ahead... just leave the door open". Of course Mr. Nolan. David left for work and Killian went upstairs to check on Emma and he grabbed her hand and after about 10 minutes he dozed off on the chair next to Emma's bed, but his head was on her bed next to her hand. Emma had woken up from a slight nightmare, but the feeling of Killian's hand touching hers calmed her down. When she opened her eyes, she brushed her fingers through Killian's hair, when he woke up, they both smiled. Killian sat up and with his injured hand stroked her hair, but she saw that his hand was hurt. "Killy, what happened to your hand??" Don't worry Swan, it's nothing. "Help me up". I'm not gonna do that. "Please Killy, I'm dying in this bed". No, first of all, your not supposed to for your health, second off all, your dad scares me, and last, I get the feeling that your mom's not the type to skip ahead in your recovery time. "Totally not true, I am absolutely done with bed rest today". Okay, let me go ask your mom. "Wait! Killian... don't, I just need to move around". Sorry love, but it's not gonna happen. "What time is it?" It's about 10:30. "Why aren't you at school?" I left early. "Why?" No reason... But I won't be at school on Friday. "Killian... who'd you hit and why?" The Brian kid in 3rd hour. "Why?" Don't worry about it love. "Killian why?" Killian gets a text message. Sorry love, it's my brother, he wants me to come home. "Killian you're avoiding the question!" Bye Swan. "Kill, can you tell my mom to come up here when you leave?" Of course, love. Killan goes downstairs. Mrs. Nolan, I have to go home, but Emma wants you. "Thank you Killian". Killian leaves.
