Chapter 18

Emma's POV

"Killian said you wanted me?" Yeah, did he tell you or dad why he hit someone? "I think he told your dad, why?" He wouldn't tell me... which makes me think that he hit someone because of me... I'm gonna call him, thanks mom. Snow leaves the room and Emma calls Killian.
He said something about me didn't he?

"Swan it's no big deal, it's only a 3 day suspension".

So it was because of me...

"No, it was because those Jocks are jackasses".

What'd they say?

"That doesn't matter, love".

I think it does

"It doesn't Emma".

What did they say?!

"They were just spreading rumors".

Tell me what they said!

"Swan, it's not a big deal".

Emma hangs up on him.

"Sweetie, are you okay?" He won't tell me what they said... "What who said?" He punched a guy that was spreading rumors about me, but he won't tell my what they said. "Maybe he doesn't want to upset you". I don't care about being upset I just hate being lied to! And I'm tired of being in this stupid bed!! "Do you wanna know a secret about your dad?" What is it? "He used to be such a jerk". No way... Dad? A jerk? "Yep, do you remember when you were 14 and going on your first date?" Yeah, how could I forget, you had to blackmail dad into letting me go. "Are you ready to hear about our first date?" Hell yes! "Language Emma". Sorry. "Okay, well first he was half an hour late. Then when his friends showed up at the restaurant, he told them i was just a dare". A dare? "Yes, a dare, so I poured my soda all over him". Soda? "What did you drink on your date?" Soda, but this entire town tells you literally everything, so it's not like I had much of a choice. Emma laughs. "Okay, it was wine". I knew it. Emma smiles. "Anyways I left and he ran after me for 15 minutes until I finally stopped running". You could outrun dad? "You bet your ass I can!" Emma laughed. "Well, he grabbed my arm and turned me around, he apologized like 3 times and when I still wouldn't talk, he kissed me and apologized again when I asked him why he did that, he told me that he liked me and he was nervous about the whole situation. Then he took me to Granny's." Wait, so dad was a nervous wreck, slow, and a jerk? "He's changed a lot". Emma smiles and hugs Snow. Thanks for making me feel better... Mom? "Yeah sweetie?" Promise me you'll never lie to me? Snow looked at her and smiled. "Okay sweetie I gotta go downstairs and call your dad, to tell how you're doing". Okay mom. Snow comes back upstairs.  Mom, so what are you and dad doing this weekend? "We're hanging out with you". No you're not. "Then what do you suppose we're doing?" You guys are going out of town for your anniversary weekend. "We can't just leave you guys here". Yes you can, we will be fine, I haven't had a bad nightmare in days. Emma slightly fibbed. "Are you sure Emma" Yes mom, you need this!

Friday before school

Hey Gina, so what did the kid that Killian punched say about me. "Emma". Tell me! "All he said is that you went crazy Em, just a rumor". I hate that dumb word. "Crazy?" Yeah. "Why?" Just hate the word, no reason. 

(In English class)

Emma starts texting Killian because he was still suspended. E : You could have told me. K : Told you what? E : That they called me crazy. K : I just didn't want you to get upset. E : That doesn't give you a right to lie to me! K : I didn't lie Swan. E : Kill, you lied by omit-ion. K : I'm sorry, love. Emma read the text and Snow sees that she is on her phone. "Emma, put the phone away please". Emma turns her phone off and puts it in her bag.
