Chapter 9

Emma's POV  (entering school)
Hey Gina, what's up? "Hey Em!" Oh my goodness my mom was literally driving me crazy this morning! "What'd she do?"I wouldn't wake up so she started yell- Emma trips over a step upon entering the school and falls flat on her face, which stops he from complaining about Snow. "Oh my God, Emma, are you okay?!?!" Yeah, I'm fine. Looks up to see everyone staring at her. Just completely mortified...

After school

I'm home!! "Hey Em, how was your first day?" It was great! Then mom woke me up, Oh and she also might murder me... "I know, she called and declared you my kid for the day". Emma laughs. "3am Emma?" Emma stopped laughing and didn't say anything. "When your mom gets here, you need to apologize to her". She rolled her eyes. I know, I know... Can i go up to my room now? "No". Why? "I'm thinking maybe you could try reading a book". A book? "Yes Emma, a book, you know those things where when open it you see words". Snow walked inside and smiled. Haha very funny dad. "And you wonder why she's such a smart ass" David acted clueless. "Huh.. I wasn't being... I was being honest. I told her what a book was". Mom, I'm sorry for the way I acted this morning. "It's okay sweetie". Snow kisses her on the head. So can I like go upstairs now... "Em, you were reading for like 5 seconds!" Dad, that's like 5 seconds too long... Mom, can I go to Aunt Reds house? "Sure emma, but if you give her any attitude, you'll be grounded". I won't, thanks! Bye mom, bye dad, love you guys. Emma is gone before they can even say bye to her. 

Red's POV At Red's house

Hey Blondie, whatcha doin here? "Just came over to hang out with my favorite aunt!" I'm honored that i'm your favorite aunt, but you're leaving something out. What is it? "Nothing really, i just don't really want to tell my mom and dad about my truly mortifying day at school today". Mortifying? "Yes, mortifying". Tell me blondie, how was it mortifying? "This morning on my way into school, i was too busy complaining about... someone, and there was a step". A step? "Yes aunt Red, a step, a step that i didn't see". Oh, i see. "Serves me right for complaining about my m-... my motor...cycle". She says with a semi-nervous smile. Red laughs. You don't even have a motorcycle. "Exactly! That's why i was complaining, because i desperately want one". You are such a bad liar, blondie! Go home, talk to your mom about your mortifying day, but if i were you, i'd the part out about the complaining about your 'motorcycle'. Emma smiles and starts walking home. Red calls Snow.

Hey, your kids gonna be home in a few minutes.

"Okay.. did you need something else?"

No, but just a fair warning, Emma had a 'mortifying' day and i told her to talk to you about it.. but knowing emma, she probably won't. So, when she gets home and goes in her room, ask her about her day and pry it out of her mind if you have to.

"Okay, thanks for the heads up, Red. Oh, she's here, talk to you in a bit".

Snow's POV (at home)

Knocks on Emma's door. Hey, sweetie, how was your day? Sits next to emma on her bed. "It was fine, thanks for asking mom". Emma? What's wrong? "Nothing, everything's great". Emma, don't make me pry it out of that brain of yours! "Ugh, it was totally mortifying". How so? "I fell flat on my face.. in front of the entire school!" Oh sweetie, they'll forget about it! Reaches out to hug Emma, Emma then puts her head on Snow's lap, and Snow takes her hair down and begins to stroke her long blonde hair. "But the worst part is, if i wouldn't have been complaining about you..." Huh? You were complaining about me? "I may have been a little angry at you this morning, i'm sorry mom". It's okay, my beautiful girl. I'm sorry about threatening to throttle you. "You threatened to throttle me?" They both laugh and lay down next to each other. A few moments later, Emma fell asleep. Once snow realized that Emma was asleep, she had to wake her up. Emma, sweetie, it's only 7, you gotta eat something before you go to sleep. "I disagree, i'm not hungry. I'll eat tomorrow, i promise". You mean you haven't had anything to eat all day? Emma just wraps her arm around her mother and went back to sleep. She just looked so sweet, Snow just let her sleep and less than 10 minutes later, Snow dozed off as well.
