Voight POV

I don't know why she didn't answer. She always answers, and I know she's fine because there was no gunshot. I walk over to the girls locker room with my piece raised. I open the door and look inside, no sign of Erin.

"Erin?" I say and walk cautiously around the locker area. I stop at the corner and peer around. Erin is sitting on a bench.

"Erin why didn't you respond?" I say angrily putting my weapon in my left hand. She looks up and it's a look I haven't seen since the day she was rescued. Pain.

"Hank?" She whispered before she fell forward off the bench. I quickly caught her and laid her on the ground. I now noticed her hand was inside her vest. I pulled it out to see it drenched in blood.

"Erin?" I say and look at her barely conscious eyes. I quickly take off her vest and see blood soaking her shirt. How did it get through the Kevlar.

"Cool invention huh?" I hear a voice say from behind me. I pull out my pistol and see a kid looking back at me.

"Put the gun down." I say inspecting it. I see a silencer, I can't believe how stupid I was. Erin had to have been in trouble and I just got mad and went in slow.

"I don't think so Voight, you almost killed my father. He get's out in a few weeks you know." The kid said.

"Who's your dad?" I ask still holding my weapon high.

"Pulpo, but that's not important. Your girl here is going to bleed out in around 2 minutes if you don't help her amigo." Pulpo's son said. I didn't falter, but I knew what he said was true.

"Get out of here." I grumble and the kid smiled. I wanted to smack it off his face, but I knew someone who'd much rather do that instead. Once he's gone I rush back over to Erin's side.

"Halstead, Dawson. Shooter should be coming towards you." I say and put pressure on Erin's wound.

"Got it boss." Antonio responds. I don't tell them that Erin is down yet. That will only distract them.

"We have him in custody Voight, we're good to go." Jay says.

"Erin is down, get a paramedic in here." I say and I can just visualize Jay's paling face. But I guess Erin is pretty pale too. Not 30 seconds later, an EMT and Jay run into the locker room.

"Voight how did she get hurt?" Jay asks and looks at Erin.

"The shooter was Pulpo's son." I say tightly. Antonio picks up Erin's vest. He sticks his pinky finger straight through the bullet hole.

"It went through the Kevlar?" He asks inspecting the vest.

"Yeah and the gun had a silencer on it which is why I got to her as slow as I did." I say and looks down. All I seem to be able to do is look at Erin's blood. Whether that's through the phone or on a locker room floor. I can't protect her at all.

"Voight, no one blames you." Jay says and I look at him. Hearing that makes me feel a tad better. I thought that he'd blame me for Erin's misfortune.

"Yeah boss, no one expected this." Dawson said and I nodded.

"Let's just get to the hospital." I say and we walk out. I see the kid and give him a glare. He shoots one right back. I guess he wasn't expecting the people in the back.

"What should we do with him boss?" Atwater says pulling him into the van.

"The cage where his father was, I'll deal with him after the hospital." I say and Atwater nods. He knows better then to question my authority by now.

When I'm done with Erin, I will rain down hell on this boy.
