“So guys, what's the plan today?” Siddharth asked. —Today last hour was a let off as the lecturer was absent today.
“Let's play basketball.” Sid said.
“You guys go ahead. I have an important assessment to be finished.” I said.
“God Shraddha, you aren't in high school anymore. You are in college and who the hell will complete the assessment in college on time?” Sid said, chuckling.
“No Sid. I have a presentation to be prepared which decides my internal marks.......you know how Mr.Carter is. He won't hesitant to mark zero if the presentation didn't impress him.” I said and Alia nodded.
“I guess she is right. Well, catch you later.” Alia said. —I waved at them before making my way towards the library.
I hate presentations. I just hate it when I am made to stand in front of the stage and explain the topic to the students. It's not like I don't know about the topic but if I stand on stage, my legs become shaky and I tend to forget about the topics.
This is all because of Mr.Carter. I wish I could smash his head with a coconut until he won't assign presentations to students, again.
I really hope I won't embarrass myself in front of people this time.
I enter the library and made my way to the lady who was sitting on the front desk.
“Hello, where can I find Financial Accounting books?” I asked.
“On the second row to the right.” She said. —I thanked her and made my way towards the direction she gave.
Thankfully there were dozens of Financial Accounting books written by different authors. I selected among two to three books and made my way to sit in a corner when my eyes caught something.
Or should I say someone.
I stared at the person for a few seconds before my heart started to thump in my chest and I drop the books on the ground, shocked.
No. This can't be.
What is he doing here?
Even though I was seeing this person after three years I couldn't forget his face, ever. I could spot him among a crowd of thousand people.
My legs became heavy while I managed to turn around and walk a few distances away from him.
I went behind the book row and glanced at him, again.
It was him.
Varun.
He was wearing a specs, surprisingly and buried his head and heart in the book ahead of him.
But, the thing is what was he doing here? Was he in my college all these years and I couldn't see him.
No. That's highly impossible.
