The sound of tapping broke my sleep. I moved in my bed opening my eyes to look around before trying to sleep, again.
This time the sound became more louder making Tommy to get up from my arms and in an instant he began to bark.
The sound of him barking woke me up from my sleep and I switched on th lights before looking around my gaze falling on the balcony where my window was located as well.
I got up cautiously, walking towards the window and peeking out only to see Varun standing on the balcony waiting for me.
I let out a grasp before opening the door.
“What the hell are you doing here?” I whispered. Varun entered inside my room and Tommy stopped barking and came rushing towards Varun.
“See, even the doggie likes to see me.” He said, patting it's head. —The dog licked it's hand before walking bag to the bed to sleep.
Varun came and hugged me. I felt tingles down my body and even though I liked to stay here but the fear of getting caught by my parents shook me.
I pulled away from him and glared at him, crossing my arms over my chest.
“Varun, it's freaking three a.m in the night. Do you know my parents are freaking downstairs?” I asked.
“Relax. They would be sound asleep by now. Aren't you happy to see me?” He asked.
“I am but.......”
“Ssshhh.” He said, silencing me by placing his finger on my lips. I looked into his eyes, smiling when he bent forward and slowly removed his finger and replaced it with his lips.
He slowly pecked my lips before pulling back but it was enough to make my heart to go crazy. I smiled before hugging him when the door of my room opened and my father stepped in.
I pulled him away and we both froze in shock. My father was standing in my doorway looking shocked.
“Papa........”
“Who the hell is he? What is he doing at this hour.........IN YOUR DAMN ROOM?” He shouted making me flinch and take a step back.
The sound of his voice made my mother to rush in as well and she looked equally shocked. I looked at Varun who was shit scared like me.
Dammit!
“Shraddha, I am asking you.”Dad said.
“I........I can explain........” I said but my mother stepped forward and raised her hand to slap me. Before her hand could come in contact with me, Varun stepped forward and her hand met his cheek.
I covered my mouth in shock while my mom stepped back.
“Who the hell is he?” My mom asked.
“He......he is my friend.” I said.
“A friend who came to visit at night in your room.” My dad asked and I hung my head in shame.
