Flash back to eighth grade
"Want to go to sunset diner?" I asked Suzanne
"Sure, we should get Daniel and Jax to come." She suggested.
"Yeah just walk over with them and I'll meet you there." I said
"Alright see you in thirty." Then she hung up.
We go to a diner that's just down the street from my house to hang out. All the middle schoolers go there to see people outside of school and catch up on all the latest drama. Usually Suzanne and I go with her friend Annie but she moved away a month before. We always take boys because they make it more fun. Jax, Daniel, and Suzanne all live in the same neighborhood so it only makes sense for them to walk over together.
Thirty minutes had passed and I was sitting in the diner eating a basket of fries and sipping a milkshake when they walked in giggling. Suzanne's hair was blowing in the wind and the boys were staring at her like she was a goddess. I was always jealous of her but the guys made it clear that she was like a sister to them.
Jax slid in next to me and Suzanne sat across as Daniel ordered their food.
"So What are we doing tomorrow?" Jax wondered putting his arm behind me trying to act cool because some older girls had just walked in.
"I'm thinking we go to the mall I could sue some new clothes." Suzanne suggested
"No I'm defiantly not going to the mall it's so gay." Jax stated
"Damn chill." I laughed
"Sorry but I just don't want to go to the mall and look for clothes for girls it's the last thing a guy wants to do." He replied
"How about we go to Kings Dominion?" I suggested
"But we need a ride." Suzanne said
"My brother can take us." Jax replied
"Oh yeah, do you think he'll actually take us?" I asked
"I'm positive, he owes me any ways for breaking my phone." Jax laughed. Daniel sat down with everyone's food and we talked endlessly until it got dark.
"Can I spend the night at your house Susie?" I wondered
"Of course." She replied then we all made our way back to their neighborhood.
"My parents aren't home, do you guys want to play games or something until they get back?" Suzanne questioned
"Sure but my friend Conner and my little brother Tommy are at my house, is it okay if they come too?" Daniel asked
"The more the merrier." Suzanne answered
Before we knew it, it was chaos at Suzanne's house. The boys were fighting in the garage and Suzanne was freaking out. I sat inside scrolling through my instagram when Jax walked in.
"Where's Bailey tonight?" He asked
"Probably at Home studying." I smiled
"You should invite her over." He suggested
"Why do you have a crush on her?" I asked laughing
"No it's just I think she feels a little left out sometimes." He stated
"Why would you think that?" I wondered
"Because she told me. The other day when we went to the river and she wasn't invited she was so upset." Jax answered
