Hungary - Elizabeta
--------------

Alex PoV:

Not again, another world meeting. They're boring and time consuming, but most of all I hate it when Elizabeta and Vlad, my boyfriend, fight. Usually it starts out with Vlad teasing Elizabeta. Elizabeta will get mad and try to hurt Vlad and then they will argue, insult, and genuinely fight each other for hours. I worry about Vlad and try to keep the peace which usually means that I get caught up in the mess too. Oh, well, might as well settle in.

I walked into the meeting room and scanned the room for Vlad. He was already bothering Elizabeta. This could get bad quick I thought. I walked over to them. So far they weren't fighting but teasing instead. I must admit, I was slightly jealous of all the effort Vlad put in to teasing Elizabeta. I always though that he should be spending time with me instead. I wrapped my arm around Vlad and smiled at him. He gave a courteous nod back but was busy hissing at Elizabeta purposely showing his fangs. "Could you two please quit your arguing?" I asked, "we have a meeting to get to."

They both just growled at me. "A real country wouldn't use a pan to fight, at least use a more dignified weapon," Vlad spat at Elizabeta.

Elizabeta growled and swung her frying pan, at me! The pain coursed through my head. Everything was black but I had my eyes open! The strike must have knocked me to the ground. I felt Vlad's warm frame pressed up against me. I could hear him crying. "I'm so sorry," he stated sincerely.

Next, I heard Vlad yell, "What the hell is wrong with you Elizabeta," he paused to stifle a sob, "how could you do this to, Alex?"

I grabbed on to him, I didn't want him to let me go. I couldn't see and needed him for sight. Strangely enough, I felt his concerned eyes on me. I cuddled into his warm chest.

"I didn't mean to hit him," Elizabeta cried, "I'm so sorry," she whispered almost unable to speak.

She ran down the hall, away from this mess. I was scared. "Can we leave, now?" Vlad asked.

"Fine, but take that poor Bulgarian to the hospital," I heard a gruff German voice reply.

With that Vlad pulled me into his arms, caring me bridal style, I felt the cool outside air as we exited the building. "I'll take care of you," I heard Vlad whisper reassuringly to me.

"I trust you," I answered. Vlad may be crazy and reckless at times but I knew that he always had the best interest for the people he loved and would do anything for them. I smiled at that thought.

Soon enough we were at the hospital and I was being set on a cot and examined. Of course I couldn't see all the hoopla but I could tell by the noises and the general mood. Vlad lay a reassuring hand on my shoulder. This made me settle a little. The truth was I was very nervous. The doctor gave me a shot and soon I found myself embraced by the welcoming arms of unconsciousness.

I awoke to darkness and I could feel a cloth wrapped around my eyes and head. Instinctively I tried to pull the cloth off but I felt a hand grab onto my own and tell me, "no."

This was Vlad's voice. "What happened?" I asked.

"They did a surgery on you," Vlad told me, "keep the bandages on for a few days and then after that you will be able to see as good as new."

"Will you stay with me and help me till then?" I asked.

"If that is what you want, then of course I will," Vlad replied.

Vlad's PoV:

Latter that day Alex was released from the hospital. I escorted him home. I was glad he trusted me so much, that really came in handy. I helped him out for the next few days but sure enough, Alex, got better and could see again. He thanked me for the help and I just smiled at him. I would do anything for him.
