Vlad's PoV:

I caught myself thinking about Alex again. I had a huge crush on the Bulgarian man in my class but I didn't dare tell him. With my head down on the desk I twiddled with a pencil. I had been at a Magic trio meeting all day. This all day meeting was a special occasion to train for an up coming magic competition but all I got out of this supposedly informative meeting was 5 hours of boring lectures.

What class would Alex be in now? He would be 5th hour so he would have math. No, I wasn't a stalker, we had the same math class. As much as I hated math I would rather be there with Alex than at this boring meeting. "Vlad, were waiting on you," a rather angry Lukas stated.

     "Oh, sorry," I muttered.

It was my turn to cast a spell. With a wave of my hand and some magic chanting I managed to conjure up a fire demon. Everyone was in awe. I smiled and took a small bow. I did love the attention that came with having magic powers. Saying I was an attention hound would be an understatement but at least I own up to it. I didn't want to burn down the school so with another flick of the wrist my fire demon was diminished into a small pile of ash.

I practiced my magic a lot and it was moments like this of impressing my colleagues that made it worth while.

After the meeting I rushed out the door and slung my book bag over my shoulder. It was lunch time. "Hey, Vlad, wait up," Arthur called to me as he ran down the hall.

"You weren't your self at the meeting to day, is there something on your mind?" Arthur questioned.

Should I tell him I was thinking about Alex? It would be nice to talk to somebody and get advice. I thought to myself. "I was, umm... thinking about this boy that I like," I blushed as I replied to Arthur.

"Really, I didn't know you liked guys, Vlad," Arthur stated with a chuckle.

This made me blush even more out of embarrassment. "Who do you like?" Arthur questioned.

Should I tell him, what if Arthur tells someone else my secret? "I don't want to say," I replied.

"Oh, come on, I won't tell anyone," Arthur pleaded.

"Fine, I have a crush on this guy named Alex, we have a few of the same classes," I blushed just thinking about him.

"Oh, I know of him, he gets bullied a lot by the upper class men,"Arthur stated.

"He does?!" I stated sadly wanting to protect him, "what does he get bullied for?"

"I've only heard rumors but he is kind of a nerd and he is gay," Arthur answered.

"Really!" I was glad to find out that I at least stood a chance but I was sad to hear that poor Alex got bullied.

Arthur and I took out usually seats in the cafeteria. We sat by each other and talked about various subjects. Suddenly, a kid ran in yelling about some interesting "news" taking place in the hallway. Arthur and I decided to check it out and followed the stampede of other teens down the hall.

Alex's PoV:

I was shoved up against a set of lockers. My head hit the cold metal hard. I groaned. The older boys that now stood above me staring down at my pained figure laughed. Everyday they targeted me. One of them pulled me up by my shirt and spat insults and curse words in my face. I could feel blood from a recently inflicted wound above my eye trickle down my face. I knew I looked helpless and horrible. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a large crowd developing. Why didn't anyone every help me? Many of the crowd members joined in on laughing at me or simply stood there not doing anything. This time was an exception. A teen about my age and height with light brown hair and red eyes pushed his way through the crowd shouting for the bullies to let me go. Of course they didn't listen and instead started to insult him as well. This didn't seem to effect him much. He walked right up to the bully that held me and punched him! The loud smack from the punch resonated off the walls. The crowd silenced awaiting the next move. The bully let me free and aimed for the teen. He dodged the first blow but was hit by the second and almost instantly he passed out. I rushed to him and managed to grab his limp body before his head hit the ground. Before I got caught back up in the fight I dove into the crowd and made my way to the nurses station. The nurse helped me lay him onto a cot and she treated both of our wounds. I sat in a chair next to the man who saved me. He was my hero. I caught myself smiling as I studied his features. I blushed at this. "Why are you blushing?" my hero asked.

My face flushed red even more. "Uh..." was all I could say.

He sat up so we were siting only a few inches from each other. "My name's Vlad," he said with a cute smile.

     "I'm Alex," I replied.

"I know," Vlad replied with a blush, "that's why I helped you, I normally don't get involved in fights."

"What's so special about me that made you want to help," I questioned.

Vlad's face flushed just as red as mine. "Everything, everything about you is special," Vlad smiled.

     "T-thank y-you," I stuttered, "d-do you want t-to go out on a date s-sometime?" I asked him.

"Of course!" Vlad practically shouted as he lunged at me embracing me in a warm hug.

I lifted his face so that we were staring at each other. I gently pressed my lips to his and ran my fingers through his hair. A moment later Vlad kissed back and embraced me just as warmly. We sat like that for a long while. We both broke away blushing.
