Alex PoV:

"Hey, Alex, I want to show you a spell I found in my new magic book," Vlad stated while running towards me carrying a rather heavy large book.

"Another spell, Vlad," I replied, "this is the fourth one you showed me today."

Today Vlad had already turned a dog into a bat, made me lose my voice for an hour, he teleported the sofa outside, and turned all the walls pink. Not again. I can't handle anymore magic.

"Come on, Alex, this one will be better," Vlad tried to convince me.

"Okay, Fine," I said knowing that Vlad wouldn't stop his pleading till I gave in.

I settled down on the couch.

"This spell will split me into 3 other selves," Vlad began, "so now I can get more done in less time and you can have three more me's to love."

He opened his spell book. "You do know that one of you is enough," I stated, "I'm not sure I could handle three more of you."

Vlad chuckled and began the spell. He chanted some Romanian words that I could only half understand. When he finished there was a bright red flash of light and when my eyes recovered I was amazed to see four Vlad's standing in front of me. They all looked half dazed from the spell but soon recovered. The real Vlad looked at the others. "I did it, Alex!" he shouted as he tackled me with a hug.

The others did the same and hugged me. They each wore a different color so it was easy to tell them apart. I hugged them all and smiled. "So how long till this spell wears off?" I asked.

"Oh, I never thought of that," Vlad stated as he rushed over to his spell book.

"Oh, no, it doesn't say that it has a certain duration," Vlad panicked, "That usually means that the effects last forever unless counteracted."

"What, I can't take care of all of you forever," I worried.

"Don't worry we will think of something," one of the Vlad's said.

All five of us scrabbled for the library where Vlad kept his magic books. All of us began to search Vlad's archives for a counteracting spell. Of course when I sat on the sofa to look at a book all the Vlad's cuddled in next to me. This was starting to get annoying. I loved Vlad but I couldn't handle four of them.

Vlad's PoV:

What was I thinking when I cast this spell with out looking to see if it had a duration? Now what am I going to do? I can't go on living with three other of me. The others and I continued to search through all my spells.

"This is taking forever," one of me said.

The others agreed. I did too but I wasn't about to give up. I could see Alex roll his eyes at the other me's that gave up too easy. Our relationship was going to be strained for awhile I could tell. He was aggravated at all of us. I couldn't blame him.

We had been reading and rereading for hours. We had finally went through all my spells but nothing promising turned up. I started to cry. Alex and the others stared at me. "You okay Vlad?" Alex asked.

"No, I'm going to be one fourth forever," I sobbed, "I don't want to be four different people, I want to be one."

Alex scooted over towards me since the others had been hogging all his attention. Alex hugged me and this time the other me's didn't interfere. I cried into his shoulder and he gently rubbed my back. "Let's talk," Alex suggested, "Alone," he motioned for the other me's to leave.

I nodded my head in agreement. After they had left I quietly whispered, "I want them gone, they're taking all your attention away from me," I whined, "I never thought of this when I cast the spell."

"What do you suggest we do next?" Alex asked.

"I'm sorry it had to come to this but I think I need to kill the others," I responded with a hint of evil in my voice.

"What, NO," Alex shouted, "I won't let you hurt yourself or them, there has to be a better way."

I sighed. Then it donned on me. "I bet Arthur can help me!"

"That is a great idea," Alex agreed, "let's get some sleep tonight and first thing tomorrow we will head to Britain."

I smiled at my new found hope. We got the others and we all went to bed. Which was a bit crowded but that was okay because I got to lay next to Alex.

The next morning after getting ready for the day. We all packed our thing and headed off to Britain to see Arthur. We had told the others about our plan and they were all hopeful to become one again. We took a carriage to the train station and got our tickets westward. We all got strange looks from people who passed by.

Soon enough we were on a boat headed towards England. I was close to being normal again, I could tell.

Once there we made our way to Arthur's home. I nocked on his door and prayed he was home. Sure enough he was. "Oh, hello, I wasn't expecting company," Arthur stated looking at all of us, "Vlad what did you get yourself in to this time?"

"I accidentally turned myself into four versions of myself, permanently," I replied.

"Ah, so you need my help with reversing your spell, don't you?" he said in his usually smirky way.

I nodded and Arthur motioned for us to enter. He had the four of us sit on a couch together and he made Alex stand behind him. He looked in his own spell book and mumbled some incantation. There was a green flash of light and sure enough I was one again. "Thank you!" I yelled to Arthur.

I ran to Alex and hugged him with tears of joy in my eyes. I was relieved to be whole again.
