Chapter 11

Brads POV

I walked upstairs after James and Connor left to go to the hospital. When Tris went to his room earlier I though I would let him cool off a bit before I talked to him. I went and knocked on his door, and when I opened it I saw Tristan lay on his bed looking out into thin air.

"Tris..."

"Go away" he said plainly not moving at all.

"You can't stay in here forever" I said moving slightly closer to his bed.

"We'll everyone would prefer it if I did". It sounded like he was crying but I wasn't sure.

"That's not true" I said sitting on the end of his bed.

"We'll it's kind if obvious" he said sitting up. He had been crying. "I punched Connor in the face!" He looked ashamed to say it.

"Why did you do it man? I mean it's not cool" I said honestly.

"Because..." He looked like he wanted to say something but couldn't quite find the right words. "I was scared".

"Of what?"

"Connor hurting Chloe, I know he never would but I just had this horrible feeling in my chest that made me worry". He said getting choked up. "All I wanted was for Chloe to stay safe, I didn't mean to punch him - I was just in shock and angry. I would never have dreamed in doing such things, Connor's one of my best mates! Well he was, he probably hates me now". I didn't know what to say. I didn't realise he punched him because he was worried about Chloe. I know it's not right to punch anyone, but it's a little more understandable now.

"Connor doesn't hate you, he's just worried that you hate him. And you do know that he wouldn't do anything to hurt Chloe, it's kind if obvious that he's in love" I said.

"I hate seeing my little sister growing up" He said sadly. I smiled a little at their care for one another.

"Just think, at least it's someone you know" I said trying to find the lighter side of things.

"Yeah but Chloe's never going to want to talk to me again".

True. But I didn't say that.

"She might just need space. She's angry at you that's for sure, but she will come around". Hopefully.

Tristan just shrugged and we sat there.

Connor's POV

I hate hospitals. Simple really, its the most boring place in the world - I'm not going to lie.

Me and James had been sat in A&E for 2 hours, and my face was killing.

"What actually happened?" James asked me. I sighed replaying today in my head.

"Well... I was sat on my bed and Chloe came in and asked if I wanted anything and then we were just talking and well... You know". I sighed again rubbing my face.

"Do you like her?"

"Who?"

"Chloe"

"Yeah" my heart beat increased when I heard her name.

"I think Tristan is worried about his sister, I mean they are really close, like really close" he said emphasising the really part.

True.

"It's obvious he hates me, I didn't mean to do anything wrong" I felt bad just thinking about it.

"Mate, I think it was just a spur of the moment type of thing. Tristan would never even dream of doing that" James said. I pulled out my phone and decided to text Chloe.

'Sat waiting, bored as hell. You should be glad you didn't come ;) xx'

I instantly got a reply.

'Oh, it can't be more boring then back here :-/ how are you feeling? xx'

"Not to bad, my head still hurts though :("

"Connor Ball?" I shot my head up to see a nurse in her 30's. I got up and so did James. "This way" She smiled. We walked through a white corridor that smelt like that horrible hospital smell - does that make sense? It just smells too clean! The Nurse guided us into a small white room which had a bed in the corner. It also had a desk with lots of files and stuff. "Now then, if you would like to take a seat" she said pointing to the bed. "And sit down there if you want" she smiled to James pointing at the chair in the corner. "I'm Jennie, Head nurse. So how did this happen?" She said examining my face.

"Well, I guess I kind of annoyed someone? I don't know what I did but he didn't seem to like it so he sort of punched me" I said shyly. I wasn't good around new people.

"Naw poor thing" she said looking at the bruise under my eye. "Right let's get this cleaned up" she said getting up from her chair pulling loads of wired things out of draws. "Now just close your eye sweetie". I did as I was told wincing in pain as she wiped something cold over my eye.

"Ow" I cursed under my breath hoping she wouldn't hear.

"Sorry love, the eye is the worst place unfortunately". Great. "Now I jus need to check your blood pressure to make sure everything is ok" she smiled. She wrapped the pump around my arm and let it do it's thing. She looked at the monitor then me. "Have you been ill at all recently?"

"Yeah, I was sick a few day ago, but I feel fine now. Actually no - I still have a bad headache" I sighed not knowing what was going on.

"Wait here a minute" she said rushing out of the room.

"Is that good or bad" I asked James.

"I don't know mate" he said sitting on the end of his chair. A few minutes late Jennie came back in with a doctor. What?

"Hi Connor, I'm Doctor Parson" he said sitting down in front of me.

"Now, I heard you where ill a few day ago?" I just nodded. "Well I'm afraid it has sounds like a blocked artery" he said slowly. what
