Chapter 19
I have decided that in the last few days of visiting a hospital they are the worst place ever. I mean, I know they help people but they just smell like someone has run around throwing disinfectant at everything.
My mum dropped me off at the hospital after rounders practise. I still had Shannon's words swirling round in my head but it tried not to let them get to me.
When I entered the hospital there was a woman who looked about 40 behind the reception desk. I walked over and tapped my nails against the desk while waited for her to finish what she was doing. After a few minutes she looked up at me with disgust on her face.
"Let me guess, teen mum or something?" She scoffed. I laughed out loud as I found it funny although I was a little offended.
"Um... Excuse me?" I said with an attitude. It was obvious already that she hated me so I thought I would just be rude straight away. Why not?Typical Evans thing.
.
.
.
.Typical Tristan thing.
.
"Who are you seeing?" She sighed.
"Connor Ball. So actually, I will have you know I'm not pregnant or a mum. Stop telling me your own problems and tell me where my boyfriend is please" I said with a hell of a lot of sass.
"Room 28" she said blankly looking back down at her computer. I walked down the hall following the signs. What a cow.
When I got to Connors room I knocked lightly on the door. I opened the door to see Connor sat up in his bed surrounded by cards and flowers.
"You don't know how gay you look" I laughed gesturing towards the flowers.
"Well what can I say" He said quietly. I'm assuming that's because of his chest.
"Please don't tell me you gay" I sad walking towards him. I lent down and pecked him on the lips.
"I wouldn't do that to you" he smiled. He is too sweet.
I didn't realise that I was smiling too until Connor pulled me out of my thoughts.
"Why are you smiling like a dork?" I flushed a bright shade of red and he just laughed.
"Cutie".Why does he always embarrass me?!
10 or so minutes later 3 people came into the room holding coffees. There was James and Brad and then....
Tristan
Ugh
"It's a good job Tristan knows what you get from Starbucks..." James trailed off realising he shouldn't have said that. I glanced over at Tristan who was looking at the floor. May I add he was bright red.
Hmmm
"Thanks" I said taking two cups off him, giving the other one to Connor.
"Watch it's not too hot" I said handing him the warm coffee.
"Okay mum" he smirked.
"Oi, watch it" I laughed.Everyone sat down and I just sat next to Connor.
"I have just realised, why are you wearing PE Kit?"Brad asked with one eyebrow raised.
"Ohmygod yeah! I forgot to tell you!" I said getting exited. "My tutor told me that I should try joining the rounders team, which was kind of weird as I hadn't tried out PE for years. And then when I got there I showed them what I could do, and Sir said that I am the best player he has seen in the last 10-15 years!!" I said feeling quite proud.
"Ohmygod babe that's amazing!" Connor said squeezing my hand.
"That's so cool!" James smiling.
"He wants to give me extra lessons as he thinks that I am capable of getting on a higher team!" I was smiling from ear to ear. This is so cool. I'm actually good at something for once!
