"Where is she? Is she okay?" Beckett said, protectively. Beckett felt like a weight was being lifted off of his chest.

"She's at a nearby hospital now getting checked out. We can take you all to go see her if you'd like." a cop explained.

"Yes! Thank the dance gods!" Carly said clutching her chest in relief.

The drive to the hospital was painstakingly long. The cop was driving, with Beckett sitting shotgun and Carly, Jenna and Sasha in the back seats.

"You kids are lucky. Your friend was only missing for a day." the cop said, trying to break the silence in the car.

"A lot can happen in a day." Beckett replied with no expression.

"True." Sasha chimed in. The cop didn't reply.

After what seemed like hours, the group finally arrived at the hospital. They walked in, went up the elevator and walked outside Vanessa's room. The cop stopped them here.

"Kids, I need to warn you. We don't know Vanessa's current mental state. We don't know how she's going to react to all of you, so I need you all to calmly enter. Do you understand?" the cop said. The group nodded their heads.

The cop opened the door to Vanessa's room and led the dancers inside. With the sound of them entering, Vanessa jolted up from her bed, startled. However, she finally relaxed when she realized who was entering.

"Hey, Vee!" Carly said, smiling. Vanessa offered a shy smile as she embraced her friends.

"Vanessa seems pretty emotionally stable so far, at least," Sasha whispered to Jenna.

Beckett stepped towards Vanessa, smiling. Vanessa ran into his arms, as Beckett picked her up off the ground. No one missed the way she sobbed into his chest.

"So much for emotionally stable." Jenna whispered back to Sasha.

"Shhh. You're okay. You're okay." Beckett whispered to her while rubbing her back.

Beckett noticed the various bandages on her arms and legs. Growing angry, he made a mental note to kill whoever did this to her.

The doctor entered the room. Vanessa clung on to Beckett even tighter.

"Hey Vanessa, I'm Dr. Grey. I have your test results." the doctor said, smiling.

Vanessa buried her face into Beckett's chest, still clinging on to him.

"Your x-rays came back clear, however, you have a minor concussion. You also have some minor cuts, but don't worry, you shouldn't need stitches. You're cleared to go." Dr. Grey explained.

"Vanessa," the cop started gently, "Can you tell us what happened?"

Vanessa didn't respond. Beckett placed a kiss on the top of her head, realizing she hasn't spoken a word since they arrived.

"Vanessa, we want to help you. But you need to tell us what happened." the cop said, comfortingly. Tears started to fall down Vanessa's face. Beckett wiped them away with his fingertips.

"I was walking to the bus stop." Vanessa softly explained, "That was when-..."
