JIMIN
Jimin was a loner. He was undeniably handsome but incredibly shy; resulting in him making a fool of himself whenever he spoke. Though he was like this, he wasn't completely alone. His internet friend of almost a year spoke to him as often as he could (which wasn't really that often). The problem was, he lived 200 miles away in Daegu with very little money and not a lot of spare time meaning Jimin couldn't go see him.
The orange haired boy walked along the side of the exit of the highway that lead out of Incheon like he often did after school. He could see the beach from where he was, it brought back great memories. When his parents and brother weren't too busy to even pay attention to him.
He admired the view from a bridge near by after school almost everyday. He hated school. When people weren't picking on him, they were picking on some other poor kid who couldn't stick up for themselves. Jimin wished he could kick them back and scream in their faces. Scream at them to stop being such assholes. But he couldn't because he was weak. That's what they called him anyway.
One of the kids, the one Jimin hated the most, once followed him home and egged his house. His parents had to pay a lot of money to have their house cleaned. The bastards smashed a window with a brick once. But Jimin's parents didn't realise they should probably move him to another school. Instead they paid for the damage and reported it to the police. The police couldn't care less about school issues. They just wanna get rid of the criminals out there.
Jimin kicked a rock out of anger, just thinking about all these imbeciles made his blood boil. Even at almost 18 years old, they couldn't act like adults. Jimin smirked at the thought of them working at McDonalds because they didn't get the qualifications. Instead of studying they were beating the shit out of some defenceless kid.
He decided to take a different route, under the highway bridge. It led down onto the part of the beach that nobody went to. It was small and rocks usually fell from the cliff beside it. It was also a known place for people to commit suicide. Heaven's doorway some would call it.
He stopped when he saw a group of three guys sat around a fire, laughing at something. Jimin sighed in awe, watching them as they talked and had fun as friends. He longed for a group of real friends he could go out and see everyday. He'd have memories with them as they did stupid stuff like sneak off into a restricted building or have movie nights at someone's apartment, staying up till the early hours in the morning laughing and talking like nothing else mattered.
Yoongi had been offline for almost a month. Jimin wasn't concerned, he did it often. It just sucked because he had nobody to talk to.
Jimin sighed and walked back up the path to the side of the road. He walked towards the bridge, noticing a pale faced boy walking slowly, looking around wistfully. His eyelids were heavy and he was almost swaying.
Drunkards these days, was Jimins initial thought. That was until the boy collapsed, hitting the ground with a thud. Jimin's eyes widened and rushed over to boy. The boy was sweating, dark brown hair clinging to his forehead. Jimin felt for a pulse, it was very faint, almost gone. He didn't know what to do. Non of the cars were stopping and he didn't have a phone (his mom took it from him when he came home really late one night).
The group of guys under the bridge were his only hope. He ran down to them frantically, he'd never been in a situation like this before and he wasn't entirely sure what to do. The guys noticed him as soon as he ran into view. They didn't think much to it till he looked to be running towards them, panic written all over his face.
"There's a guy- he passed out on- the bridge- do any of you- have a phone?" he asked, trying to regain his breath. The groups eyes all widened. Namjoon, being a natural leader, stood and took charge. Jin was worried, he quickly took his phone from his pocket and dialled 110. Taehyung was oddly calm. He sat quietly, watching the fire as Namjoon and Jin asked Jimin a bunch questions.
Jimin took Jin and Namjoon to the boy while Taehyung stayed and stared at the fire for a while, eventually getting up and walking off. He didn't go to the others, instead he walked across the field that was on the side of the highway, passed the path and row of fir trees, and into the forest. He stayed there as sirens blared, driving to where Jimin, Jin and Namjoon where, doing all they could to keep the boy alive.
Taehyung crouched by a tree and covered his eyes like a child as the ambulance and police whizzed by, blocking out the sirens.
Meanwhile, Jimin, Jin and Namjoon were talking to a paramedic. Namjoon explained what he'd got from Jimin which Jimin was grateful for. He was afraid he'd say the wrong thing or give wrong information.
"Kid, why don't you get in the ambulance. Me and Jin will follow you in his car" Namjoon said to Jimin who just nodded and followed orders. Namjoon and Jin rushed off to Jin's black range rover that was parked under the highway. They quickly hopped in, forgetting all about their friend who was still in the forest with his hands over his eyes, holding back tears.
They drove to the hospital as quick as the speed limit allowed them. Namjoon felt some sort of responsibility for the boys in the ambulance. The orange haired kid seemed so lost when explaining what happened, he was almost crying at one point, clearly stressed. Jin just wanted to make sure everyone was safe.
They quickly found Jimin and again, asked him a bunch of questions.
"Where'd they take him? Do they know what's wrong? Do they know his name?"
"I think they took him to take some tests. They don't know anything about him." Jimin replied shyly, keeping his head down.
"I guess there's not much we can do now." Namjoon sighed. Jimin stayed silent while Jin hummed in a agreement. The two took a seat in the waiting room chairs. Jimin stood quietly, not really knowing what to do. Why am I so damn awkward, he thought to himself. Namjoon noticed Jimin awkwardly stood there.
"Hey kid, come sit here." He said patting the seat next to him, a friendly smile on his face. Jimin sat beside him, still feeling very awkward.
"We didn't get to introduce ourselves properly just then. I'm Seokjin and this is Namjoon. The other kid back there was Taehyung but he doesn't really like things like this so he must've gone home" Namjoon nodded along when Jin spoke and looked at Jimin when he'd done, encouraging him to speak.
"I'm Jimin, nice to meet you two"
