Confrontation - 7

"Well look who showed up." Leo says.
"Me? Or my friends." I say.

Killian stands close to me and I see the others walk towards me. Regina, Mr Gold, Mary, David, Emma, Skylar and Zoe.

"You and your little gang. Sound familiar?" Leo says, smirking.
"You know, it does." I laugh then stop, looking him dead in the eye.
"You think you're strong because of your little gang and boyfriend." He spat, obviously disgusted.
"You leave them out of it. This is between me and you." I say, taking a step closer.

It was like we were on a battle ground.

"I thought you fought fair." He mocks.
"Oh I do. It's you who doesn't fight fair, coward." I say, mocking him back.

I knew exactly what I was doing and it was working.

"Look who you're calling a coward. You're keeping secrets from everyone. It'd be a shame if someone ruined it." He says, smirking.
"You mock me yet I know you didn't come alone. You brought your little friends with you. The ones who betrayed you in the first place." I point out.
"At least I don't hide things, I don't fake stuff. And I certainly do not ruin people's lives." I say, smirking.

This only made him more angry and it was visible. There was fire in his hands and I could sense someone behind me was getting ready to hurt him.

"You won't do it. You won't hurt me." I say, taking a couple steps closer.
"Oh won't I?" He says, getting his hands ready.
"No, you won't. Because you know if you do, you'll die with me." I point out.
"Is that so?" He asks.
"Yes. Because I was the one who captured your heart first so I know if you kill me, you'll break into pieces, fall to the ground and end your own life." I say, loud enough for everyone to hear.

By now, the townspeople were surrounding us.

"That's not true." He denies.
"Oh but it is. You see, I have my way with things. You can't and you won't hurt me or anyone in this town." I say.

We are now face to face.

"I could've simply asked Regina to put a spell on you but I didn't. I didn't need to. Because you're a greedy, selfish little boy who can't get what he wants so he decides to ruin other people's lives by taking away what they love most. That's not a man. That's a monster." I spat.

The town is silent and I turn around. I walk away and the people start cheering. That was until I hear Skylar shout.

"NOOOO!!!!"

I turn around and see Leo charging for me but I just stand there. The people scream and I close my eyes. Nothing. I open my eyes and I'm shielded by something magical.

"She's right. You are just a monster." Mr Gold says.

He opens a box and a red cloud appears around Leo then he disappears. Mr Gold closes the box and everyone screams with joy. The shield disappears and I turn around to see everyone.

"Are you okay?" Skylar and Zoe ask.
"I'm fine.....I think." I answer, still feeling unsure.
"You did great." Emma says, smiling at me.
"How did you do that?" Mary Margaret asks.
"I knew him well." I answered, smiling.

I stand in front of Killian and he hugs me.

"Don't do that again, love." He says.
"I did what I had to do." I say, hugging back.

We pull away and we look at each other.

"Killian, this what I do. I risk my own life and happiness for others. It's who I am." I say, laughing.

We all go to Granny's and we go to go inside but Skylar keeps me outside.

"Yes?" I say, smiling.
"Tell him how you feel. You deserve it." She says.
"How do I even know if he feels the same?" I ask, my smile fading slightly.
"Trust your gut, Jazz. But I'm pretty sure he likes you." Skylar says, smirking then disappearing inside the diner.
"She's not wrong." I turn around and see Mary Margaret.
"Not you too." I say, groaning.
"He was scared, Jasmine. He was scared because you could've died." She says.
"I'm sure he'd be the same if it was someone else." I mumble.
"No, not like that." Mary says, putting a hand on my shoulder.
"You owe it to yourself to find out yourself if he likes you." She adds, disappearing inside.

I stay outside, thinking about it.

"They're not wrong love." I whip around and see Killian.
"Killian." I breathe out.
"You heard all that, didn't you?" I ask, nervously and he nods.
"Aye."
"Oh well that's great because now I feel awkward because I was going to prepare everything but I didn't have time because of the fight situation and I thought you went inside and -"

He cuts me off by gently kissing me. I freeze for a moment then return the kiss. Now I know there is something there. We pull away and I look up at him.

"We'll just look at that." I hear someone say sarcastically.

It was Leo's friends. There's only two of them, thank Christ.

"Why am I not surprised that you're not dead?" I mutter, shaking my head.
"You really think a box will stop him?" The girl, Katie, says.
"Not completely but it'll give me enough time." I say, smirking.
"Enough time for what?" The male, Drew asks.
"Uh uh, no spoilers." I say.

I take Killian's hand and go in the diner. Skylar spots me and smiles. I let go of Killian's hand and walk over to her.

"What happened?" She asks.
"He heard the whole thing so I was trying to say how I felt awkward because he heard it all then we kissed." I say, smiling.
"Awe, someone's in love." She teases.
"Oh shut it." I say, laughing.

Life was becoming okay again. But that didn't mean there wasn't trouble. Leo isn't going to stay trapped in that box for long. I was going to have to make a plan but I have more time to think so that should help.

"Oh, you don't need to worry. Regina is going to help Emma train to use her magic." Skylar says.
"I don't mean to ruin the conversation ladies but I need to borrow you, love." Killian says.

I nod and tell Skylar I shouldn't be long. Me and Killian head outside.

"What is it?" I ask.
"Trouble. Leo escaped the box." Killian says.
"Well there goes the timing." I mutter.
"He said one thing before he left." He adds.
"That is?" I ask.

I was dreading to hear the message Leo left behind.

"He said he'd be back to get what was his." Killian says.

I start to panic but Killian calms me down by pulling me closer to him, hugging me. I hug back and take a deep breath. This battle isn't over yet.
