Chapter 38 - The Final Round

"What's so funny?" Killian asks.
"You really think that spell will work for everyone? You're just as clueless as she is." Leo says, shaking his head in disbelief.
"She can't cross the border. She'll die if she does." He adds, laughing at the end of his sentence.

Killian turns to look at me and I look at him with sadness.

"You knew, didn't you, love?" He asks me.
"Of course she knew!!" Leo shouts.

I couldn't say anything. I didn't know what to say other than what I had in my backup plan.

"Leo." I spoke.
"Take my life and send me to hell but let everyone in this town go with their memories." I declare, standing in front of Leo, not looking back.
"What the hell?!" I hear Skylar shout.
"Love, you can't do that!" Killian exclaims, his voice slightly breaking.

I turn to face them and I see their faces. Rage, sadness and guilt could be seen on most faces. Killian held the most, making me feel worse than I already do.

"If I can't get out of this town alive, the least I can do is let everyone else go at the cost of my life." I explained.
"And you thought we'd be okay with this?!" Skylar exclaims, anger radiating off her.
"Of course not but that's why I didn't say anything." I say, knowing it wasn't a good enough excuse.

Killian grabs my hand and pulls me towards him.

"You can't leave me, love." He says to me.
"Killian, you have to let me go. Everyone needs to leave this town and I'm willing to sacrifice my life for them." I say, tears welling up in my eyes.
"I just got you back. I can't lose you again." He says, tears falling down his face.

I wipe the tears off his face and gently rub my thumb over his cheek, smiling at him.

"This isn't goodbye, Killian. It's more of a see you later." I say, chuckling and feeling the tears fall down my face.

I gently hold his hook and his grip tightens on my other hand.

"See you later, love." He whispers.
"See you later, alligator." I whisper, smiling.

He leans in and I meet him halfway, both kissing each other.

"Get a room you two." I hear Skylar joke.

We pull apart and I giggle. I turn to face Leo and I approach him cautiously.

"Do we have an agreement?" I ask.
"We do." He answers.
"Then give everyone their memories back and let them leave this town. Then you can kill me." I say, narrowing my eyes.

He sighs and casts some spell. Within a couple of minutes, I see everyone approaching us. I see Snow, David, the dwarfs, Belle, Rumple.

"What happened?" Snow asks.
"Don't worry about it. Just go and start anew." I answer, hugging her.
"Wait, why?" She asks, concerned.
"Just go. Take Neal, go with David and Emma, and leave this town." I say, smiling at her.

She looks at me weirdly but listens to the instructions anyways. I see them cross the border and leave the town. Slowly one by one, I secretly said goodbye to everyone as they leave town. The last people were now me, Skylar, Zoe, Regina, Killian and Leo.

"Time to go." Regina says to Skylar and Zoe.

Skylar approaches me and I was expecting her to slap me but instead, she hugs me tightly.

"Stay safe, bro." She whispers.
"You too." I say back, pulling away.

Zoe quickly hugs me and then Regina approaches me. She hugs me and quietly whispers in my ear

"We'll come get you." Then she pulls away.

I stand in front of Killian and he looks at me.

"See you later, alligator." I say, giving a little salute.
"Aye love." He says, smiling.

This was never going to be forever. This was only temporary but Leo was unaware for the power that my friends held. My fate wasn't sealed with being killed. My fate would be sealed with old age and Killian. I smile and then feel excruciating pain. I look down and see a sword covered in blood; my blood. I fall to my knees and Killian is instantly by my side.

"Now you can watch her die the way I watched her disappear." Leo says, disappearing after.
"Killian..." I whisper, my voice hoarse.
"Sshhh love, don't speak." He says in a soft voice.
"The pain..." I say.
"I know love. It'll be over soon." He says, stroking my hair.

The blood is still pouring out of my stomach, the sword still impaled in me.

"Killian, we don't have much time." Regina says.
"We need to start planning, Killian." Skylar says, sadly.

Killian doesn't say anything and just stares into my eyes. He didn't want to leave me.

"Please....go...." I whisper.
"No. I'm not going anywhere." He says, determined.

I could feel myself slowly slipping away. I was disappearing and everyone knew it.

"I..I..." I start but get interrupted by coughing.
"Love?" Killian says.

I continue to cough and I spit up some blood.

"No, you can't go!" Killian shouts.
"I....love...." I start but I feel my voice go.

My eyes shut ever so gently and heavily and I take my final breath. Suddenly, I see all my memories flashing by. School, friends, exes, falling down the well and ending up in Storybrooke. Meeting Killian is the main one sticking out to me. I approach the memories but they keep getting further away. Then I see it. My body laid down on the ground and my friends surrounding me. There's blood covering me and they put a blanket over me. Regina casts a spell.

"This will preserve her body. It'll keep her body alive until we get her back." Regina explains.

Killian has tears falling from his face as he stares at my body.

"We'll get her back." Skylar says to him.
"And if we can't?" He asks.
"We'll deal with that when we get there." Zoe says.

Regina casts another spell, my body disappearing then they walk away. I'm sucked back in and in a jail cell. Or what it seems to be.

"He got you too?" I hear someone ask.

I turn to look to see some other girl.

"Where am I?" I ask her.
"Welcome to Hell. You might be here a while." She says.

I made it. This is Hell.
