A Celebration And A Beginning- 6

After a couple of hours, we leave the forest and I got a text off Skylar saying we should go to Granny's diner. We get there and most of the town is here.

"There she is!" Skylar says.
"Are you really going to help us?" Ruby asks.

Everyone stares at me then I answer.

"I will do everything I can to stop the powerful one from hurting this town." I say confidentially.

Everyone cheers and it makes me sad. I've got everyone relying on me now and I don't want to let them down. I put on a fake smile but Skylar can sense it.

"To Jasmine!" A small man says.
"To Jasmine!" The rest of the diner shouts.

They were really counting on me to stop Leo from destroying the town.

"You can do it. I believe in you." Skylar says.
"Do you really think I can do it?" I ask her
"I know you can do it. You just got to believe in yourself." She says, smiling.

I take a seat in the back and Ruby served me a slice of cake.

"Thank you." I thank her.
"We should all be saying that to you." She says smiling then walks off to serve other people.

I eat a little bit of the cake when Henry comes up to me.

"Hey kid." I say.
"You're really going to stop the powerful one?" He asks, smiling with joy.
"I'm going to try my best." I mumble.

He smiles and walks over to Regina. Too many people are relying on me for something that could end terribly.

"You know you don't have to do this alone." I look up and see Mary Margaret.
"I know." I sigh.
"That's why we believe in you. It's because you won't have to do it alone." She says, smiling.
"Can I ask you something?" I say, shyly.
"Of course." She says, waiting for my question.
"If you think you like someone, what should they do?" I ask.
"Wait for time to pass. If you know you definitely like them, just tell them." She answers.

I think about it and nod.

"Thank you Mary Margaret." I say, smiling.
"It's okay." She says then goes over to David, Killian, Regina and Skylar.

So I just got to wait for time to pass. Seems easy enough. I get up and quickly leave the diner, feeling myself panic. Stupid closed spaces. I check my phone and open up my messages.

Time is running out, little girl. Tick tock.

Stupid git, who does he think he is? I don't reply but instead, put my phone back in my pocket and take a deep breath.

"You okay?" Skylar asks.
"Yeah. Just too crowded in there." I say, smiling.
"You sure?" She asks.
"Yeah. I'm good." I answer.

She nods and heads back in the diner. I put my music on quietly and look around me. A small town full of magic, my ex is a powerful person, my life is just a big mess.

"I am just a mess." I mumble to myself.
"No, you just caught in all this, dearie." I turn around and see Mr Gold.
"And now people want me to defeat the powerful one." I say, rolling my eyes.
"Well no magic will stop him." He says.

I turn away and go to walk off.

"And this is where I plan what to do." I mumble.

I head back to my room and lay in my bed, staring at the ceiling. I didn't have a plan and I needed one soon. Well, I needed two plans.
1. How I was going to defeat Leo.
2. How I was going to figure out my feelings for Killian.
There's obviously something there but it's unclear what it is.

"Knock knock, love." I hear in the other room.
"In here!" I call out.

I see Killian walk in.

"Where's Skylar?" I ask immediately.
"Someone else came through the portal and she seemed really happy of who it was. It was another girl by the name of Zoe." Killian explains.

Another portal opened? What is going on??

"That's fine. What are you doing here?" I ask.
"Skylar said you would be here and with all the danger lurking, I couldn't leave you alone." He says, smirking.

I shift over, still lying down and he takes a seat on the edge of my bed.

"God forbid I do something stupid alone." I mumble sarcastically.
"The world is full of possibilities, love." He says, looking at me.
"The world is also filled with untold secrets too." I point out.
"Aye. It is indeed." He says.
"So tell me Killian. What's it like to live here?" I ask.
"It's chaos but it's home." He says, not explaining much.

I think about my next question carefully.

"How do you know Leo? The Powerful one?" I ask.
"Hm, where do I start? He destroyed my life. Crushed everything I had left." Killian say, looking rather empty.
"Your hopes and dreams?" I say, looking at him.
"Aye." Is all he replied.
"Funny. He did the exact thing to me. But something happened." I say.
"He destroyed everything I had and turned everyone against me. That was until I learned to fight back. That's when he went quiet. It was when I learned to hope again that he gave up.....or I thought he gave up." I explain.
"What happened?" Killian asks.
"He knew he couldn't hurt me emotionally or mentally. So instead, he hurt me physically. That's when my life became clear and I knew what I needed to do. But my plan changed." I say, sounding a little happy.
"Your plan changed?" He asks.
"Yeah. I was just going to live the rest of my life in the woods until some animal came to feed off me. Until I found the well." I say, smiling.
"Now my story is clear." I add.

That was when I had a feeling rush through me. The adrenaline rush.

"Can Rumple get Leo to here?" I ask almost immediately.
"He might do. Why love?" Killian asks.
"Because I'm more than ready, Killian. I'm prepared." I say confidentially.

Someone barges through the door and we rush to see who it is. It's Skylar and Zoe......and they look frightened.

"It the powerful one.......he's here!" Skylar exclaims.

I rush as quickly as I could outside and I see him.

"Hey! Jackass!" I shout.

He whips around to see me and he smiles.

"Well look who showed up." He says.

This was it. The beginning of my new story.
