Chapter 37 - Operation Ninja

*A week later*

So it's a week after making the plan to saving our friends and we got Regina and Emma back but we had yet to find the border. Regina had managed to get a few people back to their old self but it was harder than we thought. Me and Killian were working through my issues during the day while the others were working on a way out. 

"You're daydreaming again, love." Killian says.
"Sorry, I was just thinking." I say, shaking my head. 
"As usual." He says, smiling at me.
"Hey, you love me for it though." I say, smiling like a Cheshire cat.
"I don't love you for that, love." Killian says.
"Then why do you love me?" I ask, sitting up on the sofa.

He also sits up and gently takes my hand.

"I love you because you're an absolute angel to me. You gave me a chance when I was the Dark One and everyone told you not to trust me. You stayed by my side even when it got tough." He explains.
"Killian, I left because it got tough." I say in a sad tone.
"But you came back, love. That is what is important here. You came back because you wanted to. You didn't have to." He says, smiling at me.

Tears run down my cheek. He was right. I did come back and I don't regret it.

"Then why did you stay with me?" I ask.
"I've been nothing but trouble for you. Heck, you even held up a sword to me when we first met." I add.
"I stayed because something told me you're the one I'm meant to be with." Killian says.
"What about Emma? Or the woman that came by last week?" I ask him.

Yes, I was doubtful but it was one of the things I was working on.

"Mila? She means nothing to me, Jazz. And as for Emma, we're nothing more than friends. We don't share the same feelings anymore. We both lost interest but I'm glad I did. I would've never found you otherwise." Killian softly says, pressing his forehead against mine.

I kiss him and he kisses back, wrapping his arms around me to bring me closer to him. I pull back and rest my head on his shoulder.

"I love you, Killian." I whisper.
"I love you too, Jasmine." Killian whispers back, his voice sending shivers through me.

We cuddle with each other for a while till I get a phonecall.

"Hello?" I answer.
"We found it." Skylar says.
"Perfect. Send the location and we'll be on our way." I say then hang up.

I look at Killian and nod my head. The girls had found the border. We get up and I grab my shoes, putting them on. I get a text and see it's from Sky with the location details. Turns out, the border wasn't far.

"Do you think Leo is watching?" Killian asks me.
"He most likely is which is why I had a backup plan." I say.
"Backup plan?" He asks.

You see, while Killian slept at night, Regina and Emma had discussed with me a backup plan incase the border plan doesn't work but I wasn't ready to tell him yet. If I told him, he wouldn't let us go through with it and I couldn't allow him to stop us.

"Don't worry about it. Everything will work out." I say, smiling at him.
"And if it doesn't? What's the backup plan?" Killian asks.
"All will be revealed in due time." I say, winking.

We left the apartment and Killian drove us to the border, which was by the town bridge which crossed over to New York. When we get there, I see Emma, Regina, Skylar and Zoe stood there.

"This is great. Regina, Emma, got the spell ready?" I ask.
"We're all ready." Skylar says, looking confident.

I give them the nod of approval and they start the spell. Me and Killian step back, making sure not to get in the way of their magic. One wrong move and anyone could get seriously hurt. After a minute or two, they stop and look at the bridge.

"Is it done?" Killian asks.
"It should be but whether it has worked or not is another story." Emma answers.

Skylar and Zoe grab each other's hand and walk past the border, squeezing their eyes shut. When they walk past the border, they open their eyes, look at each other then look back at us.

"It worked. It really worked!" Zoe exclaims, kissing Skylar passionately.

I jump happily and smile at Killian.

"All we need to is get everyone else and we can leave! Go back home, start new lives, the possibilities are endless!" I say happily at everyone.
"Oh wouldn't that be lovely." I whip my head around and see Leo.

Couldn't this boy give us a fucking break? Seriously, it's annoying now.

"Watch your language." Leo says.
"Shit, I said it out loud." I mumble.
"Always so naïve to everything around her, it's giving me a headache." He groans, rubbing his forehead.
"I'm not as naïve as you think, oh so powerful one." I mock, holding back laughter.
"I wouldn't laugh if I were you." Leo says.
"We've defeated you. Admit it." Killian says.

Leo laughs and I turn my head away. This was the part Killian wasn't meant to find out.
