*3 in the morning.*

I shot up, my heart racing. I had that nightmare again. I carefully get out of bed, making sure not to wake Killian up and I head downstairs. I go into the garden and stand there, admiring the night sky. The moon was shining bright and the stars twinkling more than ever. The reason I went to go hiking was to get away from home but being away from home for so long has made me realize that home is exactly where I belong. I sit on the floor and let the cold breeze calm me down. I was scared to show Killian around because to everyone, it looks like I disappeared for over 2 months, out of no where. As time was passing, the sun started to light up the sky. I head back inside and head back up to my room, Killian still sleeping. I go on my phone and check my messages. I had loads off old friends, asking me if I had come back. I responded to all them, telling them I had. I check the time and it's 5:30 am, July 9th. My birthday was in a week. I go to the wardrobe and pick out my outfit for when we go out later. I lie down next to Killian and gently play with his hair. He moves slightly and he opens his eyes.

"Good morning, love." He says.
"Morning Killian." I say, smiling.

He sits up and wraps an arm around me.

"How long have you been up?" He asks.
"Since about 3." I answer.
"Why didn't you wake me up?" He asks, frowning.
"Being a dark one had it's toll on you. I let you get some sleep." I say.

He kisses the top of my forehead and smiles.

"You're too caring." He says.
"I always have been. Right, shall we have breakfast?" I ask, getting up.

We head downstairs and into the kitchen and I make some toast for us. As I butter the toast, Killian looks at the calendar.

"Love, what's the date?" He asks.
"It's the 9th." I say, giving him his toast.
"Your birthday is next week." He says.

I look at the calendar and sure enough, my parents wrote my birthday down.

"Yeah." I say, putting the butter away.
"Aren't you excited?" He asks.
"I mean, I never get excited about my birthday." I say, shrugging my shoulders.

We start eating our toast and discussing what we can do today. I wanted to go to town and show him around but there's one place I wanted to stop by. It was my training place I went to before I disappeared. Killian was more than happy to see where I went before disappearing. I check the time and see it's now 6:10 am.

"Let's go get ready. If we leave early, we can see more." I say, smiling.
"Sounds like a plan." He says.

We head up to my room and I pick up my outfit. I go to the bathroom and get changed. After getting dressed, I quickly wash my face and go back into the bedroom and see Killian in his outfit

"You ready to go?" I ask, smiling.
"Aye. You?" He says.
"Always." I say.

I grab my phone, wallet and keys and we leave the house. I decided that we could walk to town. We decide to take the scenery route and it was a peaceful walk.

"This place we're going to. Do they know we're coming today?" Killian asks.
"No, they don't. They don't even know I'm back. My mom told them what happened." I explain.

We get to town about 20 minutes later and I smile.

"God, I miss this place." I say, looking around.
"You won't have to leave." Killian says, wrapping his arm around me.
"Well, nothing is open just yet but I can show you my favorite spot." I say, grabbing his hand.

We walk through the town center and we head towards the big car park. We head to the very top and I look at the breathtaking view.

"This is where people park their vessels." Killian says.
"Yes but up here, no one does." I say, smiling.
"This is where I'd come to clear my head." I add.
"Who else knows about this?" He asks.
"Just Skylar. We'd come up here often and talk about random crap." I say.

I turn to him and smile happily. I was happy to be home and being with Killian.

"You didn't have to come with me, Killian. So my question is why did you?" I ask, curiously.
"I couldn't leave you." He says.
"But I would've stayed with you." I say.
"But I knew you wanted to go home. So I came with you." He says, grabbing my hand.

I smile softly.

"I love you Killian." I say.
"I love you too." He says.

My alarm on my phone starts going off and I turn it off. It's 8 in the morning.

"Let's go." I say, leaving the car park.

We head back down to the town center and we head into a shop to pick up a drink. I picked up a juice drink and Killian picked up a chocolate milkshake. I paid for them and we slowly walked around the town center.

"This tastes different." Killian says, drinking his milkshake.
"There are different kinds. And no alcohol here either. You'll get arrested if you're caught drinking in the center." I say to him.

He rolls his eyes and I laugh. My phone starts ringing and I answer.

"Hello?" I say.
"Jasmine, we have a problem." It was Regina.
"What's up?" I ask.

Killian looks at me.

"Magic. It's not contained like we thought. Hook is still the dark one." She says.
"That's impossible. He was sleeping last night." I say, frowning.
"Then something's wrong. We'll keep you updated." She says.
"Thanks Regina." I say then hang up.
"Something wrong love?" Killian asks.
"We've got a bigger issue on our hands." I say.
"What is it?" He asks.

I stare at him with worry.

"You're still the dark one." I say.
"But that's impossible." He says.
"The magic is not contained in Storybrooke. It's loose in the world." I say. frowning.

Killian hugs me and I hug him back.

"I won't let it get in the way. I promise." He says.

I pull away and smile.

"It doesn't matter. If people do discover you then who cares." I say.

I look behind Killian and see my friends and they also see me. I felt like this might be a good day.
