At Last

Scene Two

Adrien's POV

I came into Marinette's room and she showed me how far she was on the Ladybug costume. She was halfway done with it. I was impressed. Then we got to work on scene two of the script:

Scene Two

(After patrol. Chat Noir is waiting for Ladybug to get back from patrol)

Chat Noir: (to himself) Looks like I'm the one waiting now.

Ladybug: (comes up from behind) Not anymore, you're not.

Chat Noir: (bows) There you are m'lady. I was wondering when you would arrive, but it's a purreasure to be in your presence once again.

Ladybug: (rolls her eyes) Is there ever a day without puns?

Chat Noir: Never.

Ladybug: (smirks) Listen. I have a challenge for you.

Chat Noir: Ooh. A chatllenge. I'm interested now.

Ladybug: (rolls her eyes) Just listen.

Chat Noir: Oh, I'm listening. I never turn down a challenge. What might this challenge be?

Ladybug: (puts her hands on her hips) I challenge you to go a whole day without making a single pun.

Chat Noir: I can do that. And what will I get in return if I win?

Ladybug: Well...What do you want?

Chat Noir: (looks excited) You mean I can have anything I want?

Ladybug: I mean, sure.

Chat Noir: (looks thoughtful) Hmm...If I win...you have to let me take you on a date.

Ladybug: (looks surprised) Um...Okay. I doubt you'll win, so I don't have to worry. What do I get if I win?

Chat Noir: (looks thoughtful again) Do you like Jagged Stone?

Ladybug: We're getting off topic, but yes.

Chat Noir: Tell you what...If you win, you'll get a ticket to Jagged Stone's next concert...for free. I'll pay for it.

Ladybug: (face lights up, gasps) You would do that?

Chat Noir: Anything for you, m'lady.

Ladybug: (looks confident of herself) I'm gonna win this for sure. (Winks) See you tomorrow. Bug out! (Leaves)

Chat Noir: (has a mischievous look on his face. To himself) I don't think so. I have a plan. (Leaves)

"And scene two is done! See you tomorrow, Adrien!" Marinette said, waving goodbye to me.

"Bye, Mari," I said back, also waving. I walked to the trapdoor and opened. I made my way down the stairs.

"Goodbye, Adrien," Marinette's parents said in unison. I waved goodbye.

"Goodbye, Mr. and Mrs. Dupain-Cheng," I said. I walked out the door and went to my house and went straight to bed.
