Ladybug's POV

I felt someone shaking me. I opened my eyes to see none other than the superhero, Chat Noir. He shouldn't have come for me. Now my dream will come true and...and I really don't want that. I don't think he would either.

"What are you doing?" I whispered. "You shouldn't have come for me."

"But I did and I'm rescuing you," Chat Noir whispered back.

"Chat-" I started, but was cut off by Chat.

"I'm rescuing you and there is nothing you can do about it. We're gonna defeat Hawkmoth and Paris will be safe again," he explained.

"Well, well, well...looks like a cat has come to save his ladybug," Hawkmoth said. Well, so much for being rescued. I can fight anyways! It's not like I've been immobilized or anything!

"Yes, I have and I'm lea-" Chat Noir said, but I cut him off mid-sentence.

"We are going to take you down Hawkmoth!" I declared with every ounce of confidence I could muster. Chat Noir looked at me with worry in his eyes. I knew he was thinking I couldn't do it. But I knew I could. I wasn't weak or helpless. Okay... Maybe I was a little weaker than before... But I could still defend myself and fight.

Then I remembered my dream I had when I was unconscious. I knew what would happen. And it wasn't good. I didn't even know if we would win or not, but I knew that what was gonna happen was not good.

"We'll see about that..." Hawkmoth challenged. I stood up and Chat Noir tried to keep my down, but I was beyond mad at Hawkmoth for everything he's done. I needed to know his reason. Maybe I- we could convince him to stop his evil ways.

"Why do you do this?" I asked, anger dripping from my words. Hawkmoth looked amused.

"You don't need to understand," he said. "Just to accept." The problem was, I didn't accept it. I also did need to understand. I blinked a few times. I grabbed my yo-yo and got it ready and made it seem like I was gonna use it. I was waiting for the right moment when he least expects it to wrap him up in my magical, indestructible yo-yo.

Hawkmoth looked unfazed. He just stood there, staring us down. It was sort of intimidating. Wait. That was his tactic. Intimidation. He couldn't hurt us. He was weak. He relied on akumatised villains to do his work for him. He was a coward. He couldn't fight two against one. This was gonna be easy.

I released the yo-yo and to my surprise, Hawkmoth caught it. He yanked it away from me and threw it towards me. I dodged it. Chat Noir, however, wasn't so lucky. He tried to dodge the yo-yo, but ended up getting hit in the nose.

"Aw, come on! Not again!" he complained as he brought his hands up to his now bleeding nose. "Why do I keep getting hit in the nose?" I tried to suppress a laugh, but a little snicker escaped.

"Don't laugh at me!" Chat Noir hissed. (A/N: He literally hissed like a cat.😂) That only made me laugh more. Until I saw dagger zip past me and almost cut off Chat Noir's head off. He didn't fail to get hit though. It grazed the side of his neck and he brought his hand to the wound and quickly recoiled and winced when his hand made contact with the cut.

"Chat! Are you alright?" I asked worriedly.

"I'll... I'll be fine..." he replied. I was so distracted with Chat Noir that I didn't notice an incoming dagger. I saw it at the last second and tried to move, but I knew I wasn't fast enough. I moved my arm in front of my face to avoid dying. I felt the dagger impale my arm and screamed. It hurt so bad. To my surprise, it didn't hurt as much after I pulled the dagger back out. There was blood now running down my arm, but at least I was alive.
