At Last

A New Point of View

Marinette's POV (Chat Noir)

I continued to look at Adrien in shock. I couldn't believe it. He was actually alive. I was so glad that I decided to kiss him once more. It was different being Marinette. My emotions were more...more. I wasn't sure how to describe it. It wasn't like being my normal self.

I stood up and helped Adrien up as well. As soon as he was standing, he collapsed into my arms. He was heavier than I thought he would be.

Am I really this heavy? I thought. Then I realized that I was girl now and...you know what? Nevermind what I was gonna say. That's probably not true. At all. I wanna see who's stronger: Me or Ladybug? That is, when things go back to normal. Also, if things go back to normal.

I carried Adrien out of the huge mansion and brought him to what was now my house. I set him onto the bed and (No! Don't think that, you sinners!) went into Mari- my bathroom and searched for a first-aid kit. I found it and brought it out and set it on the bed, next to Adrien.

Adrien looked up at me with a look of pain in his eyes. He must have been hurt really bad. What am I saying? Of course he was hurt really bad! He just came out of a burning room! He jumped through fire just yesterday!

I opened the first-aid kit and had no idea what the heck I was doing. I decided to go get Mari- my mother.

"Mom!" I shouted.

"Yes, honey?" Sabi- my mom shouted back.

"Could you come here, please?" I asked.

"Sure, sweety. I'll be right up!" my mom replied. It was weird calling her my mom. It was weird to call everything that was Marinette's mine.

My mom appeared about a minute later and when she saw Adrien on the bed, she freaked out and rushed over to him.

"What happened?!" she asked, concerned.

"He got caught in a fire," I replied. It was the truth. Just not the whole truth.

"I'm gonna fix you right up," my mom said. I was glad that she didn't ask anymore questions because I had no idea how in the world I would answer her.

After my mom "fixed-up" Adrien. She went back downstairs and came back with a bowl of ice cream. Oh, how I wished I was myself right now.

The expression on my face must have matched what I was thinking because my mom turned to me and said, "If you want ice cream, you can go and get some yourself."

I was fine with that. As long as I got to have ice cream...

I went downstairs as casually as I could and ended up tripping and "Ow!" falling "Ow!" down "Ow!" the "Ow!" stairs. "Ow!" I hit "Ow!" the bottom "Ow!" and rubbed my head. "Ow!" I complained.

My dad laughed and shook his head like this happened all the time. "Are you alright, sweetie?"

"Yeah, I guess so," I replied. Besides the pounding headache I have...

I opened the freezer and grabbed out the ice cream. I grabbed a spoon and went back upstairs. Thankfully, I didn't trip this time.

"Is he gonna be okay?" I asked, my voice filled with concern.

"He'll be fine. He just needs some rest," Mom replied.

"Okay. Uh... Do you think Adrien could maybe...spend the night?" I asked.

"If it's okay with-" Mom started.

"Yes! I'd like to stay the night!" Adrien announced. Mom winked at me. I knew what that meant. I guess Marinette had a huge crush on the Adrien side of me before we started dating as superheroes. Come to think of it, we never decided to date in our civilian forms. I guess I'd just have to play along.

I made myself blush. I wasn't hard since I now had feelings for Adrien. It was weird since I was technically Chat Noir. Which is weird since Adrien is Chat Noir. It was probably just because I was Marinette now, so whatever Marinette felt, I felt. It was kinda cool to know the way the felt. Maybe I had some of her memories too. Maybe if I tried to...

"Is it okay with-?" Mom asked, jolting me back to reality.

"Yes!" Adrien replied suddenly.

"Alright. I'll be downstairs if you need anything. Dinner will be ready in about twenty minutes. I'll call you when it's time to eat," Mom explained.

"Okay," I said. Mom walked downstairs and I was left alone with Adrien.

"Food..." he whispered. To be honest, the way he said it sounded kinda creepy.

"Uh, yeah," I said awkwardly. "I'll just be on the balcony, okay?"

"Okay," Adrien replied. I headed up to the balcony and sat down. I really wanted to know what Marinette's thoughts were. Wow, it sounded bad when I put it that way.

I tried to think. I didn't have any memories that weren't my own. I decided that it probably wasn't a good idea to try and thinks of Marinette's memories. That's invasion of privacy.

Woah. I just got some weird thoughts in my head.

"Are you okay?" Adrien asked. I hadn't realized he was behind me. I jumped, startled.

"Yeah, but you scared the crap out of me!" I replied.

"Sorry, I just wanted to check on you," he said.

"You wanted to check on me? Shouldn't I be the one checking on you?" I asked.

"I want to be back in own body again," Adrien said suddenly.

"Yeah, I do too," I replied.

"We'll find a way," Adrien promised.

Marinette's POV (The real Marinette)

It felt great to finally go to school as myself. I walked into the door and I was actually on time. I took my seat next to Alya and the bell rang. I was proud of myself for making it to class before the bell. This was the best day ever.

Until the akuma attack.

This chapter is overdue. Sorry... I haven't been able... Actually no. I lied. I was perfectly capable of updating this, but I was caught doing...other stuff...that I just never got around to it. Well... I hope you're enjoying my story so far.
