You looked at the ceiling, your heart pounding in your ears and adrenaline rush still not dying down. You were in a large chase, running away from the guards when one of them caught of you and julian walking in the shadows of the cold crisp night. The memory won't stop playing in your mind, giving you a sleepless night, the thought of julian struggling as his breath slowly getting taken away from his body made you heart sink even more.

“Are you sure this is safe Julian?” you tilted your head as you followed next to him, intertwining your fingers with his gloved ones. He gave you a comforting smile “we’ve done this many times before, i'm sure we’ll be fine…” he stroked the top of his gloved thumb above the softness of your hand. You two have been dating for a couple of years by now, ever since the doctor decided to break into your shop. You’ve had an attachment to the red head doctor.
So here you are having another midnight walk with him. “Well, the Guards almost caught us last time, they might bring up the security even more…” you grumbled under your breath, looking around the corner for any sign of torch lit light. Julian sighed “my Sweet i'm sure we’ll be fine…” he placed a kiss on your neck, which of course make you smile in response. He grinned, satisfied about your mood change, he gently took your hand and took you too the Garden from earlier that you ran past. You were curious about the place, and now you finally had the chance to check the place out.
He nestled the both of you under some vines and began to leave soft nibbles upon your neck, you giggled and pushed him away. Julian smirked and lifted your chin up, grinning down at you. “Have i ever told you how much i love you…” he muttered, pressing a kiss on your plump lips, the kiss was soft and innocent, leaving a soft tingling upon them when he pulled away. “No...how much?” you tilted your head, grinning to yourself. “More than all of the work i have ever done~” he cooed, peppering kisses upon your (Skin Coloured) face. You giggled “That is a lot...you treat all of that stuff like it’s your baby…” you teased, peppering kisses of your own on his face, having to stand on your tiptoes. “You know...you think we should get married?” he looked up at you with those beautiful eyes of his. You smiled “julian...of cou-”

“Stop right there!!”

You felt tears stream down your cheeks as you curled up in the blankets, the atmosphere was colder than usual, more lonely. You began to ponder about how life would be like without the man you love. You decided to try and get some sleep, you turned the knob with small ridges on it as the flame in the small lamp dimmed, You curled ip more and tossed so your back was facing the lamp, thinking about what tomorrow will bring.

It was the day everyone dreaded, your face was plain, and pale. You thought about now going to the Gallow, but went so you could be there for Portia. She is a close friend of yours, and not only that, julian's sister. It would be right for you to be by her side as you watched his life slip away. You got dressed into a black attire. You wrapped your shawl around your neck and walked out of the building, walking to the Gallow area which was just out of the city. You looked at the ground, you already felt the tears forming. “damnit …” you grunted through clenched teeth. You looked over to the Death Square to see people crowded around the place that’ll be hanging Julian. You looked at the ground, avoiding everyone's gaze as you searched around for the familiar red head. You heard portia’s cries coming from inside the crowd, you looked over through the swarm of people to see portia come into view.
“No please don’t do this!! He didn’t do it!!” she wailed, fat tears forming at the corner of her face. As they began trail down the side of her round pale face, leaving a small wet stream from her eyes. The sight broke you heart since she was known for her cheerfulness, you sucked in some breath and walked over to portia. Her eyes widened to the sight of you, her face red and puffy as she hugged you tightly, sobbing into your arm. You didn’t know what to do, you just pulled her into a warm embrace and stroke her back. “Y--You have to tell them…” her voice was hoarse and shaky from crying and pleading. You knew that it won’t do a thing, but you didn't want to say no. So you just stood there holding her close, sighing deeply. You wanted to cry, but you couldn’t just the amount of shock pulled you from it. “I’m...i’m sorry portia…” you muttered into her ear as you hugged her tighter. You looked at the balcony to see Nadia sipping her wine, not giving  any sign of emotion on her face. It was almost as if she didn't care, which you expected from the type of person she is.
Portia didn’t break the embrace, she held you even tighter when they heard people screaming curses as Julian stepped up to the noose. You turned to look at julian to see he had a blank face, as if he is accepting his fate. It broke your heart then gave him a worried look. Julian looked at you and smiled bitterly, he closed his eyes when the rope was wrapped around his neck. You took in a deep breath, “STOP! Brother please! Tell them it wasn’t you!! Portia pleaded a she turned to face her brother. Julian took in a deep breath and didn’t say a word, he stared straight into blankness. “I’m ready..” he said blankly as he bit his lip.
