The Bet

In the night

This is not how I imagine Jamie and Nathan but this is how they were sitting in the scene below.

Nathan's Pov

I arrived at Jamie's house and notice that that girl Cat is going in. I wonder of that is her sister or something. Or is this a party because if it is I got to go change.

Cat's Pov
Who invited Nathan over this was suppose to be a girls night movies,nails,face masks what more could anyone ask. Oh! Wait I forgot the food. I decide to leave the door open for him and gesture for him to enter. He is so fine Jamie really picked a good one. The first time I saw Nate was not at the stairwell but in the cafeteria. We were waiting in line for food Jamie was home with her dad because he would not let her go out. So we were there and I dropped my phone and he picked it up and gave it to me but he rubbed my hand and checked me out. I blushed and he smirked and that was that. I have always liked him since then, but Jamie is my ride or die so I just got to keep that on the down low.

Jamie's Pov

I am upstairs getting ready Nathan should be here any minute. I really like Nathan more than any other guy so I've never done anything like other girls. I think he might be the one to take my innocence. I am sure of it but, I am not doing anything until I am sure of it. Let's say we are older maybe two years from now out of high school. Will he even wait that long for me. I don't know if he will I mean he is a guy. Well let me stop and give him some credit he stuck with me after I admitted he was just a bet before I got to know him. Wait, that does not make any sense because I was basically a bet to him too! I am getting myself mad now. Jamie you need to stop.  Now I am talking to myself great. 

"Hey Jamie!" Cat yelled she sounded a bit off.

"Hey um... Nathan is coming over ok?" Trying to make sure she is ok.

"Girl I know he is in the living room just came in with me." She answered back I can tell she is mad by the tone of her voice.

"Can you send him up to my room please!" I said in a sweet voice.

"YA I'll do that!" She said sarcastically.

I heard foot steps coming to my room and I got butterfly's in my stomach. I always got butterfly's in my stomach when Nathan was around he made me feel happy on the inside. I still do not know whether or not to bring up how far we can go. He approached my room and opened the door.

"hey" He stated as though something was bothering him.

"what's up?" I sat on the edge of my bed.

"Nothing just here" This feels weird now.

"Are you ok?" I asked really concerned.

"so what do you want to do?" I asked making full eye contact.

"what do you want to do?" he smirked and walked towards my bed and sat down. he kissed me deeply.

I suddenly broke the kiss and leaned back."listen we can't do anymore then kiss ok?" 

"Um.." he asked not understanding basically asking for an explanation.

"Well, I am a virgin and I have promised myself to wait for the "one" and I am not ready for that right now." I said straightly and direct.

"Ok baby I understand, I am not a virgin but I understand where you are coming from." he said calmly and I felt that what he was saying was true.

"Ok so we are on the same page?" I asked for extra verification.

"Yes, baby I understand." He said with a funny face.

I giggled and kissed him on the cheek not looking at the door where Cat was looking at us with what seemed to be envy.  She is probably still mad over the whole girls day thing I'll make it up to her she is my ride or die so I have to.

Cat's POV 

They look so cute together how could I ever break that up. I admit I was standing a near her door way for a while though. Not to be stalker crazy but I imagined me with him while I was watching. I want that to be me. When I noticed Jamie glance at me so I walked away fast or tried but Nathan looked up too so embarrassing! Does he really not remember the first time we met?

Nathan's POV

That was weird I should have closed the door when I came into Jamie's room. I remember the first time I saw Cat she dropped her phone so I picked it up and checked her out it was nothing really I was going to ask her out but I saw her with Jamie and Sam on the stairs and that is when everything went down hill.

Jamie's POV

So we are just in my room sitting on our phones but the vibes are off. I want to see a movie and "old" one maybe from the 2000's. So I get up when I fall on the floor. The thing is Nathan did not even notice till he saw me get up like are you serious! 

"hey babe are you ok?" he asked not knowing what had happened.

"I am fine." I said a little rude.

"What happened?" He still is clueless.

"I feel when I got up from the bed that is all ok?" I said trying not to be aggravated.

" ok ok what were you gonna get?" he is still confused.

" a movie with Ryan Reynolds" 

Nathan's Pov

Is she really mad at me right now. Like all I did was ask her what had happened. She was the one who kinda insisted on being on our phones. I am just confused right now. I wonder how things would be if I was with Cat.

Jamie's Pov

"Nate baby you wanna go down stairs and I'll make you some hot chocolate." I could tell Nate was in deep thought and wondered if it was about Cat.

"Sure babe let's go" he said still in deep thought. (Suspicious)

I quickly grabed his hand and moved him towards me but almkst making it so that he holds ny waist as we walk out the room and Cat's room is across the way from mine just two doors down at the end of the hall. Her door was open she was watching t.v. but caught my glance. When we got down stairs and I was done making the hot chocolate we sat on the couch but for a quick second Nathan's eyes and mine meet and I felt complete. He looked away at the t.v. before I could make a move.

I wonder if i should even bring up Cat I can tell something was wrong. I will talk to Cat the Nathan but those are problems of tomorrow.
