The baby store

Jamie's Pov

After last night's heated conversation I went to bed. When I woke up I found a note on the kitchen counter saying

To: Jamie

Hey sleepy head I was going to wake you up but you looked so peaceful. I just wanted to let you know that I picked up another shift at the store and getting off a one. Maybe after I get back we can go baby shopping! So excited see you then.

Ok the great what am I going to do here in the house. Maybe throw on a movie and put a face mask on. Sounds good bit my room is a mess.

After hours of  "cleaning" I heard the key turn in the lock. Cat walked through the door and I instantly new something good happened.

Cat's Pov

When I saw Jamie I did my best to try and run to her. She looked so shook.
"Oh my God Jamie! Guess what?"

"What happened?" She looked so desspreat  to know.

"Well you know how we still have to find someone to take care of the babies."

"Yes.."

"So I saw this little day care when I was on my lunch break and went inside. Jamie it was so cute it had rocking chairs and baby jumpie things and changing tables. It had everything we are looking for. So I ask this nice lady about the cost and she said that for two babies it is 110 a month!"

"Wow Cat that is great!" Jamie had the biggest smile on her face.

"It is better than what we had planed before. Now we can both work and not have just one of us on maternity leave."

"But Cat we are still gonna take a month or two of maternity leave. Or at least I am."

"Well don't you think I know that."

"Just making sure."

"Ok so are we going to the store?"

"YES girl I have been waiting all day cleaning."

"Jamie you sure know that you was not cleaning. You sat here in your p.j's staring at the mess and watching tv."

"I cleaned my trash bin."

"Ok Jamie so why is it full?" I was now pointing at her over flowing trash can.

"Ok ok you caught me but I tried to and decided to do it tomorrow."

"Sure Jamie." I was laughing uncontrollably and so was Jamie.

"Go get dressed so we can leave." With that she left the kitchen counter and I think jogged to her room.

When we arrived to the baby store I instantly fell in love with the place. I did not know what to shop for because I want it to be a surprise so I decided to get one boy outfit and one girl. I decide to get a lot of yellows and greens and oranges. When I was done spoiling my unborn baby I went to get suppiles dimpers,pacifiers,bibs,soaps, lotions, detergent and many more items. I had blown my check from this month on baby things. Then I relizes I lost track of Jamie.

Jamie's Pov

When we got into the store Cat and I stayed together for about five seconds till we parted ways. I went straight for the baby girl section. Since I know I am having a girl. I got her shoes,  outfits, bibs, onesies,  everything a girl could want. Then from there supplies I got everything on my lists. From detergent all the way to dimpers. When I noticed a guy checking me out as if I am not pregnant. I blush a little and he turns away. When I was about to leave the isle he spoke.

"Hey um.. you have a lot in that chart huh?" He said with a boyish smile. I was looking at my almost over flowing cart.

"Ya I just want to be prepared." I said kind of embarrassed.

"Ok ok that is a good thing."

"Thanks" I was about to walk away when he started to talk again.

"Off so soon?" I turned around and smiled.

"Ya actually I have to look for my sister." I said referring to Cat.

"Ok just say you have to leave don't give a excuse." Be looked hurt.

"Look my sister and I are both six months pregnant and she is shopping in the store too ok. "

"Ok ok baby don't get mad." When he said those words only one person came to mind Nate. Those words made a sharp pain in my heart. I turned to look at the guy and walked off quickly. He followed.

"Why are you hurrying off?"

"I told you have to look for my sister!" I say whisper yelling. With that I saw Cat and she walked towards me and I towards her.

"See I told you that we are sisters." Cat looked at little confused.

"Rose hon of course I am your sister." She stated and looked up at me  with a smile.

"Anna I know that but he did not Believe me." I said pointing at the man in front of us.

"Ok I did not think you was lying Rose." He said a little hurt.

"I just wanted to tell you that my aunt owns this daycare and her business is not as good as it used to be so now she is charging by month not by week. That it is 110 a month for two babies and 45 for one baby."

"Oh.. I am so sorry"

"It's ok."

"So is this place called Jenny's daycare?" Cat asked with a smile on her face.

"Yup how did you know?"

"I went inside on my lunch break and fell in love we were considering applying for the program."

"Oh that is great!" He exclaimed.

"I never caught your name." Cat and I asked at the same time. What are the odds?

"The name is Desmond but Des for short." He said with a chuckle.

"Well nice to meet you Des this is Cat and I am Jamie."

With that we parted ways Cat and I packed all the bags in a cab and went home. Today brought up a memory of Nate I wonder how he is doing? Or why should I care do I still love him?
