Telling HIM

Cat's Pov

Jamie and I decided to tell Nate. I don't know why she insisted on it but I know that I personally need closer. We decide to meet up at the mall full of people on a Saturday.

When we got to the mall my heart started to race and I felt unsafe. He was sitting in the food court on his phone. My mind suddenly went back to that day at the creek. I felt pain in my thighs and my stomach. We went and sat down at the table.

"Hey guys what's up?" Is he really acting like nothing is wrong?

"I mean there is the fact that you raped us!" I shot back not controlling my anger.

"Ya you did and now you are acting like it is ok?!" Jamie glared at him as well.

"Hey hey ladies relax.. you know you liked every second of it and Cat let's just get this clear I did not rape you. You asked for it remember? And Jamie baby did you really think I was gonna wait for you?" He smirked at us then started to laugh.

"We are pregnant!" Jamie says and everyone stares then looks away quick.

"The both of you well that is great news!" He is smiling I hope he dies not think he is going to be in MY baby's life.

"What do you mean?" I ask a little confused on why he is so happy.

Nate's Pov

This is great news my two girlfriends are pregnant and I am going to be a father! This was so unexpected.

What do you mean?" Cat asked I never really cared about her but now that she is the mother of one of my children I have to love her.

"I mean that this is ok I can be a good father and you two could co-mother the children we can all co-parent!" I am all excited thinking about going to the park and taking my kids to the aquarium like how I always wished my parents would do for me. Jamie looks at Cat then Cat looks back at Jamie. They both look pissed off then...

Jamie got up and started running for the door and so did Cat. So I ran after them and when we reached the parking lot it happened.

Parking lot
Everything went black. The last thing I heard was sirens. Jamie had ran into the street and so did I but did not see when the truck was coming my way. I was thrown across the parking lot gasping for air it feels as though my lungs were being filled with water and falling out of my chest. Jamie and Cat started to run to me when I heard them say...

"Jamie we have to leave him here and run away he is trying to co-parent with us what if we have daughters and he raped them?!" She is now crying and looking at me with guilt.

"But Cat if we leave him here we are going to regret it!" Jamie was obviously crying.

"The guy that hit him will call the police but for now we need to go!" And with that they were gone out of plan sight.I just laid there begging God to save me to forgive me.

Hospital

I woke up in a too familiar room with machines and beeping sounds. There was a cop in my room one that I recognized too well officer Stone. He was there drinking coffee and looking out a huge window this time I was not hand cuffed to the bed. He noticed that I was awake and cleared his throat then said "Hey son you awake there?"

"Yup"I said a little raspy.

"You have been asleep for awhile now"

"How long?" I asked because Jamie And Cat could have been gotten away from my grasp.

"Five months" with those two words water began flowing from my eyes and my life flashed before my eyes.

"Wow umm.." I have no words.

Cat's Pov

It has been a whole five months since Jamie and I ran away to her mother's house in Canada. I am six months pregnant and working at the grocery store down the street from our house. Jamie is working at the library. It has been great up here away from It all. I just worry about Nate if he is alive and looking for us. If he finds us who knows what he could do?

Flashback

We were all in the food court when he said let's all co-parent. Jamie had the same amount of worry in her eyes that I did. I now had a sudden realization that I had to protect my child. I stood up and so did Jamie and we started running as fast as we can. He obviously ran after us as well. The no one saw it coming a truck hit him and the sight of him being flung across the parking lot was horrid. Jamie and I rushed over to his body.

"Jamie we have to leave him here and run away he is trying to co-parent with us what if we have daughters and he raped them?!"

"But Cat if we leave him here we are going to regret it!"

with that I pulled her and started to run home. I packed everything that I needed in my suit case andwent to the attic and grabbed some of my old baby onesie. A few extra things like a pack of pads and tampons. I will need them in a few months. Jamie grabed all of her things as well.

Jamie's Pov

My blood is bubbling and my heart won't calm down. He was just lying there on the floor close to dead. I have to admit Cat was right we had to run. I cleared my bank account and so did Cat and together we have 100,000 dollars. That will be enough for now until the babies come at least. When we were about to grab the next grey hound I thought back to all the times Nathan and I had together they all were not bad. When we were in the movies and when we kissed for the first time. All those memories I left them at the bus stop I had to think about a life other than mine. He or she will have a present mother that will take him or her to school and pick him or her up. I have it set in my mind that I will be a good mother.

present Day

It is awfully quite in the library today usually Mr. Thompson would bring the kids in for a story time around the circle rug. It is odd they are not here. When I get home I find Cat on the floor staring out the big glass window in the back of the house. I went and sat next to her.

"You ok Cat?" I ask a bit concerned.

"No Jamie I am scared he is gonna find us." she is now crying.

"Cat you can't stress yourself out because it is bad for the baby."

"Jamie What if he does find us."

"Then we have to kill him."

"what but we could go to jail and.."

"No Cat do not worry because the police will see that he raped us and tried to get us and our kids."

"Jamie it does not work like that."

"yes it does!"

" We need a plan Jamie."

"Ok"

" Let's say that he finds us what do we do?"

"Ok so we can just always have money to the side just in case.In a box with passports just in case."

" Ok Cat but here me out he was close to dead last time we saw him he has to recover if he is even alive."

"Jamie he is alive I know it I feel it. Something is coming"
